The members of the Mission from Thailand, with their<br />

business associations, are listed at the beginning of this report<br />

under the heading, Investment Mission Members. Attachment No. 6<br />

is "AN IMPORTANT POLICY STATEM11ENT ON THE THAI/AMERICAN PARTNERSHIP<br />

IN PitOGRESS" by H. E. Minister of National Development Pote Sarison.<br />

This was distributed during the sinmirar at the time of Minister<br />

Sarison's speech. Attachment No. 7 is the Registration List of<br />

American busirlessmn who attended the seminar. A fee of $190<br />

for each of these registrants was charged. The list of 78 American<br />

registrants on Attachment No. 7 is the biggest paid attendance<br />

which A.M.A. Vis f-ver had at such a seminar. In the paragraphs<br />

immediately following the roster of members of the Mission, uhich<br />

are contained in an earlier part of this report, reference has<br />

already been made to the A.M.A.<br />

Seminar attendance by the nonresident<br />

Thai members,<br />

for which a -lump sum fee was charged.<br />

A.I.D. officials attending the A.M.A. Seminar were: Messrs. Jack<br />

Bailhe; Louis A. Cohen; Graham Williams; Walter P. Coppinger; and<br />

Belford L. Seabrook. No fee was charged by A.M.A. for these U.S.<br />

Government officials.<br />

In addition, there were a number of others<br />

who attended parts of the session, but who were not charged a<br />

registration fee.<br />

These persons included the press and publicity<br />

people, USIA interviewers, CIPM coordinators, and at least one<br />

American businessman who came with a personal invitation signed<br />

by Minister Pote Sarison.<br />
