Under this realitycheck, one that is neither Pollyanish nor defeatist, but an accurate measure of reality and the forces driving it, what can be done? Well, one can just pretend that the problem does not exist and continue to hold the perspective of the innocent baby staring at the fish bowl. But if one has succeeded in shifting one's perspective to that of the tom cat, then in self-preservation as the proverbial fish in the fish bowl, what are the options? Consumers: Well, don't look to me for heroic solutions. You, as consumers, are equally responsible for what happens to you. The solution lies within each one of us – don't look for it coming from some messiah, superhero, or a new born-again Rockefeller! Scientists and medical professionals: Well, take a careful read of The Fable of the Bees and the Seduction of Science and Technology. Young men and women choosing the medical profession: Think very carefully how you wish to practice the healing arts predicate: “First, do no harm”, realizing fully well how the medical profession actually functions under big-Pharma rather than laboring under some idealistic delusions of curing cancer, and perceptively seeing the choke-hold on modern medicine by the financial oligarchy hell-bent on controlling life and life-sciences for the scientific dystopia they have imagined, before investing in your medicine career. medical professionals today and tomorrow who can transcend this big-Pharma dominated modalities to provide holistic healthcare to humanity that is both scientific, and un-inimical to the human mind-body-spirit. Developing that wholesome medicine under an hostile environment being driven towards scientific dictatorship, with new laws enacted each day to limit individual freedom of action and independence, is the daunting challenge of the present and the future.
