Engineer in charge, giving cross slop <strong>of</strong> 1<br />

for ensuring effective drainage and initial<br />

kutcha packing closely followed by one<br />

round <strong>of</strong> through packing.<br />

This item also includes opening <strong>of</strong> level<br />

crossing and removal <strong>of</strong> guard rails at the<br />

approaches <strong>of</strong> bridges, filling up <strong>of</strong> 5<br />

sleeper spaces with ballast which the<br />

BCM leaves at the end <strong>of</strong> day’s work.<br />

Nite-1: All cables, signalling rods, bond<br />

wires, embedded rail pieces, tiebars etc.<br />

should be temporarily disconnected<br />

removed prior to the block period to<br />

ensure unhindered advance <strong>of</strong> the cutter<br />

bar over a width <strong>of</strong> 4200mm width. All<br />

cables, signalling rods & bond wires etc.<br />

should be restored after completion <strong>of</strong><br />

work.<br />

Note No. -2: Gas cutting equipment along<br />

with sufficient gas and its operator will be<br />

available during the working <strong>of</strong> BCM<br />

machine to remove rail pieces.<br />

13. Putting old released rails into and over, to<br />

be released panels after leading them to<br />

PQRS site including all leading/handling<br />

etc. for getting it lifted along with released<br />

panel or leading the released rails with<br />

lead up to 2 Km. to the forward site for<br />

making rail available for changing rails <strong>of</strong><br />

existing track for subsequent block if<br />

required.<br />

14. Inserting SEJ including removing <strong>of</strong><br />

existing sleeper & fittings, fixing the<br />

angle iron after providing the gap<br />

including packing etc. complete.<br />

15. Unloading <strong>of</strong> track ballast from covered<br />

Box or any other type <strong>of</strong> wagons (except<br />

Hopper/BOB/BOBY/BOBR) on track<br />

during prescribed traffic block at site as<br />

instructed by PWI in charge and removing<br />

<strong>of</strong> infringements if any during traffic<br />

block, spreading & dressing <strong>of</strong> ballast<br />

supply <strong>of</strong> tools/equipment for the work i.e.<br />

basket, belcha etc. to be arranged by the<br />

contractor at his own cost.<br />
