throwing away muck/debris arising out of
screening on the toe of banks or on cess, if
low, or throwing it out of cuttings with all
lead and lift as per direction of the
Engineer in charge, giving cross slop of 1
in 30 to the formation up to the edge of
the formation, cutting the cess if required
for ensuring effective drainage and initial
kutcha packing closely followed by one
round of through packing.
This item also includes opening of level
crossing and removal of guard rails at the
approaches of bridges, filling up of 5
sleeper spaces with ballast which the
BCM leaves at the end of day’s work.
Nite-1: All cables, signalling rods, bond
wires, embedded rail pieces, tiebars etc.
should be temporarily disconnected
removed prior to the block period to
ensure unhindered advance of the cutter
bar over a width of 4200mm width. All
cables, signalling rods & bond wires etc.
should be restored after completion of
work.
Note No. -2: Gas cutting equipment along
with sufficient gas and its operator will be
available during the working of BCM
machine to remove rail pieces.
13. Putting old released rails into and over, to
be released panels after leading them to
PQRS site including all leading/handling
etc. for getting it lifted along with released
panel or leading the released rails with
lead up to 2 Km. to the forward site for
making rail available for changing rails of
existing track for subsequent block if
required.
14. Inserting SEJ including removing of
existing sleeper & fittings, fixing the
angle iron after providing the gap
including packing etc. complete.
15. Unloading of track ballast from covered
Box or any other type of wagons (except
Hopper/BOB/BOBY/BOBR) on track
during prescribed traffic block at site as
instructed by PWI in charge and removing
of infringements if any during traffic
block, spreading & dressing of ballast
supply of tools/equipment for the work i.e.
basket, belcha etc. to be arranged by the
contractor at his own cost.
