DESCRIPTION
WETBOND is a pre-mixed powder adhesive
containing cement, selected quartz
sands, powdered resins and special additives
which improve the workability and
adhesion of the product. WETBOND
mixed with water, it becomes a semi-fluid
paste easy to apply by spreading it with a
spatula, makes it possible to completely
coat the reverse side of the tile, with just a
slight pressure of the hand.
FIELDS OF USE
• SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
WETBOND can be applied on all traditional
supports as long as they are flat, solid
and free from loose parts, grease, oils and
dirt in general. Plaster of Paris or calcium
sulphate screeds must be previously treated
with ISOLFIX G.
• MIX PREPARATION
WETBOND is ready to use and should be
mixed with roughly 22% clean water using
a mechanical mixer (1) until obtaining a homogeneous,
lump-free paste. The mix is
workable for roughly 8 hours depending on
the weather conditions.
WETBOND is used to bond ceramic tile
and natural stone floors of all types, medium
and large formats, both indoors and
out. It is indicated for bonding tiles on heated
floors and on overlaps. It can be used
as a smoothing product on uneven substrates
with a difference in planarity from 3
to 20 mm.
This adhesive is raccomended for the followings applications

As an adhesive, 4-5 kg/m 2 depending on
the planarity of the support, the type of tile
and the tooth of the spatula.
As a smoothing product, 1.7 kg/m 2 ×mm.

• APPLICATION
WETBOND should normally be applied
with a semicircular toothed spatula (2). The
tiles should be applied using a pressure
which is sufficient to guarantee the total
contact of the adhesive, bearing in mind
the pot life of the product and therefore
before it forms the surface “skin”. When
using the product for smoothing for thicknesses
up to 20 mm, add 20% clean sand
with a suitable grain size. The subsequent
laying of ceramic tiles may be done as
soon as the surface can be walked on.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
• In the case of high temperatures, wet the
substrate for longer pot life.
• If the reverse side of the tile is very powdery
or highly absorbent, we recommend
washing the tiles quickly in water.
• In adverse climactic conditions (high temperatures,
wind) the normal pot life of 20-
25 minutes may be drastically reduced.
• Do not use WETBOND at temperatures
lower than + 5°C and protect the tiling from
frost and high temperatures after laying.
• Clean tools with water and the tiled surface
with a damp cloth.
• Store in a dry place.
PRECAUTIONS
• When mixing, protect the respiratory
tract with an appropriate mask.
• Protect the hands and eyes with gloves
and goggles.
• If the product comes into contact with
the eyes, wash immediately with abundant
water.
