<strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong>s<br />

ALARM LIMITS OFF<br />

If the Alarm Limits Off mode is selected in the <strong>Monitor</strong> Configuration menu, all alarms associated<br />

with patient alarms are “OFF” except for Low Battery and Dead Battery. The visual indicator<br />

next to the SILENCE/RESET pushbutton will flash at a rate of two (2) second “ON” and two (2)<br />

seconds “OFF” and the message “Alrm Off” will be displayed along with the “Ready” message in<br />

the Message Window as a reminder.<br />

When the Alarm Limits Off is selected, the ALARM LIMITS pushbutton is inactive. The Alarm<br />

Limits Off mode cannot be disabled with the SILENCE/RESET pushbutton.<br />

NOTE:<br />

If the Message Window is currently displaying a time stamp from a previously taken NIBP<br />

measurement, the “Alrm Off” message will alternately be displayed with the time stamp<br />

message.<br />

To re-activate the audio alarms, refer to Page 101, AUDIO ALARM SILENCE (SILENCE/RESET<br />

Pushbutton) for more information.<br />

MONITOR CONFIGURATION<br />

The <strong>Monitor</strong> Configuration section allows the user to configure the <strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> to your<br />

individual needs. Once entered, the user can:<br />

• Review the monitor’s internal Software Revisions<br />

• Select the Operating Language<br />

• Select the Patient Mode<br />

• Select the Power-Off Delay Time<br />

• Select the Temperature Scale<br />

• Make selections for Audio Alarms<br />

• Choose to display the MAP value<br />

• Set the SpO 2 Alarm Delay<br />

• Set the Date<br />

• Set the Time<br />

• Set Daylight Saving Time Option<br />

• Perform System Checks (Refer to Page 136, CALIBRATION CHECK)<br />

ENTERING THE CONFIGURATION MENU<br />

To enter the monitor’s Configuration Menu, press and hold the VOLUME<br />

and ALARM<br />

LIMITS pushbutton keys while the monitor is being turned “ON” .<br />

Once in the menu, use one of the NEXT (HISTORY / VOLUME) or PREVIOUS (CYCLE TIME /<br />

ALARM LIMITS) programmed pushbutton keys to advance onto the next or go back to the<br />

previous parameter in the Configuration Menu.<br />
