<strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong>s<br />

If the 2-Minute Audio Off mode is selected in the <strong>Monitor</strong> Configuration menu, pressing the<br />

SILENCE/RESET pushbutton will temporarily deactivate the audio alarms for two (2) minutes.<br />

The visual indicator next to the SILENCE/RESET pushbutton will illuminate continuously and the<br />

message “2Min Aud” will be displayed along with the “Ready” message in the Message Window<br />

as a reminder.<br />

NOTE:<br />

If the Message Window is currently displaying a time stamp from a previously taken NIBP<br />

measurement, the “2Min Aud” message will alternately be displayed with the time stamp<br />

message.<br />

When the 2-Minute Audio Off is enabled, the monitor will not alarm for patient related High and<br />

Low alarms, NIBP Application Error and SpO 2 Probe Alarm. The monitor will alarm for Low<br />

Battery and Dead Battery.<br />

To re-activate the audio alarm, press the SILENCE/RESET pushbutton again. The visual<br />

indicators will go out. If the button is not pressed, audible alarms will be re-armed automatically<br />

after two (2) minutes. Refer to Page 101, AUDIO ALARM SILENCE (SILENCE/RESET<br />

Pushbutton) for more information.<br />

PERMANENT AUDIO ALARM SILENCE<br />

NOTE:<br />

Enabling the Permanent Audio Alarm Off mode can only be accomplished after all active alarm<br />

conditions have been addressed. To clear an alarm, refer to Page 95, CLEARING ALARMS for<br />

more information.<br />

If the Permanent Audio Off mode is selected in the <strong>Monitor</strong> Configuration menu, pressing the<br />

SILENCE/RESET pushbutton will deactivate the audio alarms. The visual indicator next to the<br />

SILENCE/RESET pushbutton will flash at a rate of one (1) second “ON” and one (1) second<br />

“OFF” and the message “Perm Aud” will be displayed along with the “Ready” message in the<br />

Message Window as a reminder.<br />

If the Message Window is currently displaying a time stamp from a previously taken NIBP<br />

measurement, the “Perm Aud” message will alternately be displayed with the time stamp<br />

message.<br />
