<strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong>s<br />

CLEARING HISTORY<br />

The History data can be manually cleared by pressing and holding for two (2) seconds the<br />

HISTORY pushbutton while in either of the History modes. The message “Print? N” appears in<br />

the Message Window.<br />

Press the HISTORY pushbutton again and the message “Erase? N” appears in the Message<br />

Window.<br />

Use either the ARROW UP or ARROW DOWN pushbutton until the message “Erase? Y”<br />

appears in the Message Window.<br />

Press the HISTORY pushbutton a final time and the message “Erasing” appears in the Message<br />

Window. The monitor erases the memory, exits the History mode and returns to the “Ready”<br />

state.<br />

REAL TIME CLOCK (RTC)<br />

The <strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> uses an internal Real Time Clock to time stamp all entries that are<br />

stored in History. Changes made to either the time or date settings, should be performed inbetween<br />

patients being monitored. Refer to Page 85, for displaying the monitors time and Page<br />

104, for setting the time.<br />

PATIENT ALARM MODE<br />

WARNING:<br />

Configuring the <strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong>’s alarm settings to “OFF” will disable all audible and<br />

visual alarms. This mode should only be selected for spot check applications where the patient<br />

is receiving bedside surveillance by a trained clinician. Refer to Page 101, AUDIO ALARM<br />

SILENCE (SILENCE/RESET Pushbutton) for more information.<br />

The <strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> is equipped with patient alarms to warn the user if any measurement<br />

parameter is outside the range of a user set value. This feature will allow the user to set values<br />

for:<br />

Systolic High and Low<br />

Diastolic High and Low<br />

MAP High and Low<br />

Pulse High and Low<br />

%SpO 2 High and Low<br />
