NOTE:<br />
Remember that there may be a marked difference between readings taken from the left and the<br />
right arms. Be consistent with each patient.<br />
WARNING:<br />
The cuff should not be applied on a limb being used for an intravenous infusion. Do not place<br />
the cuff on any extremity being used for SpO 2 monitoring.<br />
WARNING:<br />
When monitoring over an extended period of time, or at frequent intervals, periodically observe<br />
the patient’s limb to make sure that the circulation is not impaired for a prolonged period of time.<br />
NIBP HOSES<br />
CAS Medical offers two (2) NIBP Inflation Hoses.<br />
For Adult and Pediatric patient monitoring using the ADULT NIBP mode and Cuffs, the coiled<br />
ten (10) foot NIBP hose (CAS p/n 01-02-0131) is recommended.<br />
For Neonatal and Infant patient monitoring using the NEO NIBP mode and Neonatal cuffs, the<br />
Neonatal six (6) foot NIBP hose (CAS p/n 01-02-0185) is recommended.<br />
NOTE:<br />
Avoid compression or restriction of NIBP hoses.<br />
