SELECTING THE POWER-OFF DELAY TIME<br />

The <strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> incorporates a user selectable Power-Off Delay time feature.<br />

The amount of time the ON/STANDBY pushbutton is pressed to turn the display “OFF” can be<br />

configured to be either “Off 0S” (no delay) or “Off 2S” (press and hold for 2 seconds). The<br />

default setting used by the monitor is “Off 0S”.<br />

To configure the Power-Off Delay Time, first enter the Configuration menu. Refer to Page 98,<br />

ENTERING THE CONFIGURATION MENU.<br />

Once in the menu, use one of the NEXT programmed pushbutton keys until the Message<br />

Window displays the monitor’s current setting for the Power-Off Delay Time.<br />

Use the ARROW UP or ARROW DOWN pushbuttons to make your selection.<br />

Press one of the NEXT programmed pushbutton keys to advance onto the next menu or use the<br />

CANCEL pushbutton to exit to the “Ready” mode.<br />

SELECTING THE TEMPERATURE SCALE<br />

(available if Temperature is installed)<br />

The <strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> can display Temperature readings in either the Celsius or Fahrenheit<br />

scales.<br />

To select the operating Temperature scale, first enter the Configuration menu. Refer to Page<br />

98, ENTERING THE CONFIGURATION MENU.<br />

Once in the menu, use one of the NEXT programmed pushbutton keys until the Message<br />

Window displays the Temperature setup menu “°F” or “°C”.<br />

Use the ARROW UP or ARROW DOWN pushbuttons to make your selection.<br />

Press one of the NEXT programmed pushbutton keys to advance onto the next menu or use the<br />

CANCEL pushbutton to exit to the “Ready” mode.<br />

AUDIO ALARM SILENCE (SILENCE/RESET Pushbutton)<br />

The <strong>CASMED</strong> <strong>740</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong>’s SILENCE/RESET pushbutton can be configured to have the audio<br />

associated with patient alarms set to one of three selections. The selections are:<br />

• 2-Minute Audio Alarm Silence (Default)<br />

• Permanent Audio Alarm Silence<br />

• Alarm Limits Off<br />

To configure the alarms, first enter the Configuration menu. Refer to Page 98, ENTERING THE<br />

CONFIGURATION MENU.<br />
