7 Incid<strong>en</strong>ce angle modifier IAM<br />

The IAM (= Incid<strong>en</strong>ce Angle Modifier) is a correction fac<strong>to</strong>r repres<strong>en</strong>ting how the<br />

angle of incid<strong>en</strong>t radiation affects the performance of a collec<strong>to</strong>r.<br />

The IAM of flat plate collec<strong>to</strong>r is assumed as rotation-symmetric. Therefor the<br />

thermal performance of the collec<strong>to</strong>r is only dep<strong>en</strong>ding on the angle betwe<strong>en</strong> the<br />

incid<strong>en</strong>t radiation and the normal of the collec<strong>to</strong>r plane.<br />

IAM in table 2 were calculated <strong>according</strong> <strong>to</strong> Ambrosetti 1 (equation 7).<br />
