Promote Grad Nite on Campus
The Grad Nite website and Grad Nite video are our two most effective communication tools about
the expectations of the Disneyland ® Resort Grad Nite experience. Make them yours too!
Encourage your Students to visit the website and check back often for updates! Also, encourage
them to visit the Disneyland ® Grad Nite Facebook Page at facebook.com/DisneylandGradNite.
The Grad Nite video can be watched online at www.youtube/disneylandgradnite.com and provides
a great example of how Disneyland ® Park “transforms” from its day time appearance to the ultimate
after-hours party for Grads.
Here are a few suggestions on how to get the crowd excited about Grad Nite at your school:
• Add us on Facebook: Disneyland Grad Nite
• Show the Grad Nite video at an upcoming school or senior assembly.
• Hang the Grad Nite posters around campus.
• Include a Grad Nite message in the morning announcements or daily bulletin.
• Advertise where tickets can be purchased in the school newspaper and website.
• Link the Grad Nite website (www.disneylandgradnite.com) on your school’s website.
• Include a Grad Nite message on your school marquee.
• Run a Grad Nite promotion on your closed-circuit TV system.
Agreement & Ticket Ordering
The Grad Nite agreement is designed to provide you with detailed information about your school’s
participation in Grad Nite at the Disneyland ® Resort. If you have not received your agreement yet -
or if you have questions about the agreement- please contact the Ticket Sales and Services Office at
(714) 520-7053. Your agreement is for your reference. Please send back only your ticket order
form with 100% full pre-payment.
Before a Ticket Order can be fulfilled, one hundred percent (100%) pre-payment is due by 45
days prior to your Event to guarantee your order for all Grad Nite Park Hopper ® Tickets and
Wristbands and Chaperone Tickets. Your organizations order form will be your invoice. All payments
must be made by either a school check or cashier’s check drawn on a U.S. bank payable to “Walt
Disney Parks and Resorts,” and forwarded by registered mail, return receipt requested, to:
Disneyland ® Resort
Ticket Sales and Services
190 Center Street Promenade, WFB-TC
.
Again, tickets will not be sent until your signed ticket order form AND full payment is received.
Please do not fax in your ticket order form as no orders will be filled without payment
The quantity and type of Grad Nite Park Hopper ® Tickets and Wristbands and Chaperone Tickets sold
to your organization by Disney will be recorded on a Grad Nite Park Hopper ® Tickets sales record
which will be included with each of Organization’s Grad Nite Park Hopper ® Tickets and Wristbands
and Chaperone Ticket orders.
Please notify Disney within five (5) business days after receipt of the Grad Nite Park Hopper ® Tickets
(and Chaperone Tickets) if there is any discrepancy between the actual quantity and/or type of the
Grad Nite Park Hopper ® Tickets (and Chaperone Tickets) received and that show on the Grad Nite
Ticket sales record.
Please Note that Grad Nite 2013 tickets are non-refundable so please order as accurately as
possible. Additional tickets may be ordered based upon availability.
7

Receiving Your Tickets
Once one hundred percent (100%) pre-payment is received, we will process your order and ship out
your wristbands and all ticket media. If you have pre-paid and not received your tickets, and it is less
for Disneyland ® . Please make sure all your students are wearing their wristbands on their right
arm prior to arrival.
Nite ticket ready and visit the Guest Service Building, located to the left of the Disneyland ® Park Main
Entrance. A Grad Nite Cast Member will be able to assist you there. We recommend alerting the Grad
Nite Team one day prior to your arrival so that we can be prepared for you.
Chaperone Information
(It is your responsibility, as the Grad Nite Chairperson, to share pages 10-13 with all your
Chaperones. This entire planning guide is also available for download at
www.disneylandgradnite.com)
As a Chaperone for Grad Nite, you are an integral part of the Magic! You help us ensure a fun, safe
night for your graduating seniors. Here’s some information on how you can help us throughout the
night:
Prepare for the Magic – Prior to Arrival
• Suggested Guideline for Schools: Students who have been recommended for expulsion or who
have had serious disciplinary action will not be considered “students in good standing” and
therefore should not be permitted to participate in Disneyland ® Grad Nite. It is the responsibility of
the school to determine that all Students participating in Grad Nite are in good standing
prior to arrival.
• Confirm that all Students attending the event are attendees from your school/organization (or
approved Guests) and are at least 14 years old. All Chaperones must be at least 25 years old.
• Disneyland ® Grad Nite is a drug, alcohol, and weapon-free event. Anaheim Law Enforcement will
be present during the event and will take appropriate actions if drugs, alcohol, drug paraphernalia
or weapons are found. Please make sure all Students and Chaperones are aware of these
guidelines before boarding transportation to the event. Alcohol, illegal drugs, and weapons are
not permitted at the Disneyland ® Resort at any time.
• All schools/organizations should conduct their own thorough Security and Dress Code screening
prior to departure and arrival at the Disneyland ® Resort for faster and smoother processing once at
the Main Entrance. Make sure Students are adhering to the appropriate Dress Code Guidelines
(see page 18) and are not carrying any Prohibited Items (see page 19).
• Please allow about one hour from bus arrival time to the Main Entrance. This includes the
necessary time it takes to go through parking and security procedures.
• Have a roster of names of all Students and Chaperones attending Grad Nite, along with copies of
any other important documentation (Cell Phone Form, etc.). Take roll before you leave for Grad Nite
and upon your departure at the end of the event. Have a plan for you and other Chaperones and
bus drivers to contact each other if needed.
10

Protect the Magic – Upon to Arrival
• Chaperones should stay with their groups throughout the entire entry process from vehicle
disembarkment until just before entering the Main Entrance turnstiles. NOTE: There is no separate
entrance for Chaperones. Thank you for staying with your Students until you enter the Park.
Please make sure you wait in the Esplanade for your entire group to complete the Guest screening
procedures. This is also important so that you will be able to assist any of the Students in your
group in case they lose their tickets. It is recommended that event tickets be distributed to each
Student and Chaperone before leaving your school or upon arrival on the bus, in the event that
you become separated.
• Tickets and wristbands will be shipped to you prior to your arrival. Please do not distribute tickets
or wristbands prior to departure to Disneyland ®. Also, please make sure every student is wearing
their wristband on their right arm upon arrival. Each participant must have a Grad Nite ticket
and wristband for admittance into the private Grad Nite party.
• Be responsible for all Students attending Grad Nite from your school/organization. All Students
and Chaperones must adhere to the Disneyland ® Resort Dress Code Guidelines, Prohibited Items
List, and all resort rules and regulations. If issues with Students arise during the night, Chaperones
will be contacted by a Disneyland ® Resort Cast Member or by official authorities. All Chaperones
must be accessible via their cell phones during the event and until all students have
returned to school property.
• Please see page 25-26 for more information on Parking & Transportation. Once your group
arrives at the Disneyland ® Resort, you will disembark from your vehicle and your group will take the
tram to the Main Entrance. Make sure that everyone in your group has their tickets and are wearing
their wristbands on their right arm.
• At the Main Entrance, all Students and Chaperones will enter the Guest screening tents. The
process will include:
o Dress code check. Make sure all Students and Chaperones adhere to the Dress Code
Guidelines and are in appropriate attire throughout the event.
o Bag search. All Student and Chaperone bags (camera cases, purses, etc.) will be searched.
We recommend only bringing bags and items that are necessary for the event.
o Please be prepared for inspection of your personal items, including:
• Bags
o Purses, brief cases, tote bags, diaper bags, camera bags, backpacks and merchandise bags
o Luggage that cannot be carried in hand must be stowed in rentable large lockers. Please note
that lockers have limited availability.
• Waist packs (i.e., fanny packs). Please remove for inspection prior to the Guest screening table.
• Coats and jackets
• Packages (e.g., sealed and unsealed boxes, wrapped gifts)
11

• Wheelchairs/ECVs
• Coolers/lunch boxes
• Canes and shoes
Any unauthorized items will be confiscated by Disneyland ® Resort Security and/or official authorities.
Any illegal substances or items will be dealt with by the appropriate authorities. Authorities will also
assist Chaperones, Students, and/or their invited Guests who are perceived to be under the influence
of drugs or alcohol.
Please refer to the Disneyland ® Resort Dress Code Guidelines and Prohibited Items List on pages 18-
19. Anyone (Student or Chaperone) not adhering to the Disneyland ® Resort Dress Code Guidelines
or Prohibited Items List will be delayed and/or denied admission to the event.
• Students and Chaperones should stay with their group through the security process.
Medication
Medication is no longer subject to inspection at the Nurse’s Station table. Please be aware of
any and all medication your students are bringing with them to the Disneyland ® Resort.
• The Disneyland ® Resort does not provide medication storage.
• If a student becomes ill during the private lock-in Grad Nite event and needs to be picked
up by a parent or guardian, they will need an Early Release Form available at Chaperone
Headquarters, which will be REQUIRED and filled out by the releasing school/organization
chaperone, parent and student. Pick up arrangements will have to be made by the school/
organization and parents. A chaperone is required to escort the student out of the Park to meet
the parent or guardian.
• All Chaperones and Students attending Grad Nites at the Disneyland ® Resort are expected to
adhere to the Grad Nite Prohibited Items list (see page 19).
• Lockers are available at Grad Nite at the Disneyland ® Resort. Locker fees range from $7 - $15
depending locker size. Locations:
o Disneyland ® Park on Main Street, U.S.A.
Reminder - Grads will not have access to Disneyland ® Park after the start of the Grad Nite
private party. Please remind your Grads to pick up their items from these lockers prior to
entering the private party at Disney California Adventure ®.
o Disney California Adventure ® Park on Buena Vista St.
o In the Esplanade between the parks, accessible from the Downtown Disney District,
lockers are located outside the Main Entrances to Disneyland ® Park and Disney
California Adventure ® Park.
12

Your Chaperone must then escort you to the Disney California Adventure ® Main Entrance and hand
off the Early Release form to a Main Entrance Cast Member. Chaperones must then escort Grads to
a waiting parent or guardian.
Dress Code Guidelines and Prohibited Items
Dress code guidelines have always been a part of Grad Nite at the Disneyland ® Resort. Ties, jackets,
skirts and heels were once the mainstay of the Grad Nite experience; however, over the years the
dress code has evolved to keep up with the current fashion and trends and to make everyone more
comfortable to enjoy this great celebration.
The Disneyland ® Resort dress code guidelines and prohibited items list have been established to
ensure a safe event for all our Guests. It is ultimately the school’s responsibility to ensure that all
Students and Chaperones adhere to the Disneyland ® Resort Dress Code Guidelines upon arrival.
Please note some individual schools’ dress code policies may be stricter than that of the Disneyland ®
Resort. We highly suggest that all schools/organizations conduct their own Security and Dress Code
screening prior to departure and arrival at the Disneyland ® Resort for faster and smoother processing
once at the Main Entrance.
Please refer to the dress code guidelines and prohibited items list on the next page.
Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement
Disneyland ® Grad Nite will no longer require a Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement Form
collection upon arrival. We do encourage your school to require their own to ensure all
Chaperones and Students are aware of the rules and regulations of the Disneyland ® Resort.
• Encourage parents/guardians to visit the website to learn more about the event and read guidelines
and policies.
23

Parking and Transportation
Parking information will be communicated to you in May via e-mail. When you receive the parking
information, please provide all drivers of all your vehicles copies of driving instructions.
• All Students attending Grad Nite must arrive by buses, vans, or Chaperone-driven vehicles.
Student-driven vehicles are not permitted under any circumstances.
• We strongly encourage Chaperones to arrive with their Students and not drive separately.
• The school is responsible for arranging bus transportation, either via a commercial bus line or
school bus. Long distance bus drivers adhere to DOT mandatory regulations that regulate how
many hours they are “behind the windshield.” Typically, this rule is 10 hours, but does vary. Please
check with your transportation company to make certain that these regulations do not interfere with
the drop off/pickup times of your group as the company may have to schedule an additional driver
to assist with your group.
• You will be receiving Bus Parking Vouchers with your ticket order. Please provide these to Resort
Parking and Transportation Cast Members upon arrival to the Mickey and Friends Parking
Structure.
• You will be given further instructions to go to the designated Grad Nite parking lot. After your buses
parks and unloads, buses can either stay or leave and return to the Mickey and Friends parking
structure at the end of the event.
Before departing the bus, ensure that you have your admission tickets.
Additional Information
• All buses will require bus parking vouchers. You will receive these vouchers in the mail with your
Grad Nite ticket order. You will also receive two complimentary Chaperone Vehicle vouchers. Any
additional Chaperone Driven Vehicles will be required to pay for parking at the Mickey and Friends
toll booth.
• There will be ADA shuttles for Guests needing assistance from the drop-off area to the Main
Entrance. Wheelchairs will not be available at the parking lots. Please see page 26 for more
information.
• It is recommended that admission tickets and wristbands be distributed to each Student and
Chaperone before leaving your school.
24

• Please see page 11 for Event Entry Process.
Communication with Bus Drivers
• Please inform your transportation company that Students/Chaperones need to be picked up from
the Grad Nite event before 4:00 am.
• It is imperative that one or two chaperones from each school/organization exchange cell phone
numbers with your bus driver(s) for a smoother arrival and departure process.
• Please provide copies of all parking information (directions & maps) to your bus drivers once you
receive them.
• Please note that bus drivers are not permitted to attend Grad Nite.
25

Event Departure
• At the end of the event, all Guests will exit at the Main Entrance and board the trams towards the
Mickey & Friends Parking Structure.
• ADA shuttles are available for Guests with mobility concerns.
• Some buses may not be parked in their original drop off spots due to leaving the resort and
returning for AM pick up. Please see a Disneyland ® Resort Cast Member for questions and
assistance locating your bus.
• For Students or schools/organizations who need to leave Grad Nite early prior to 3:00 am, an
Early Release form is required (see page 21).
