Knowledge Discovery <strong>in</strong> Databases (KDD) Model proposed<br />

by Piatetsky-Shapiro, Matheus and Chan [2] represents a<br />

start<strong>in</strong>g po<strong>in</strong>t for our soluti<strong>on</strong>. They def<strong>in</strong>ed a system as a<br />

collecti<strong>on</strong> of the follow<strong>in</strong>g comp<strong>on</strong>ents:<br />

Database Interface, to manage database queries;<br />

C<strong>on</strong>troller, to c<strong>on</strong>trol the <strong>in</strong>vocati<strong>on</strong> and<br />

parameterizati<strong>on</strong> of other comp<strong>on</strong>ents;<br />

Knowledge Base, to c<strong>on</strong>ta<strong>in</strong> doma<strong>in</strong> specific<br />

<strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong>;<br />

Focus, to determ<strong>in</strong>e porti<strong>on</strong>s of data to analyze;<br />

Pattern Extracti<strong>on</strong>, to collect pattern-extracti<strong>on</strong><br />

algorithms;<br />

Evaluati<strong>on</strong>, to evaluate the <strong>in</strong>terest<strong>in</strong>gness and<br />

utility of extracted patterns.<br />

C<strong>on</strong>clusi<strong>on</strong><br />

This <str<strong>on</strong>g>study</str<strong>on</strong>g> elucidated the learn<strong>in</strong>g process of a c<strong>on</strong>cept of<br />

a <strong>web</strong> <strong>based</strong> learn<strong>in</strong>g envir<strong>on</strong>ment system for diagnostic<br />

problems and methods <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong>. This <str<strong>on</strong>g>study</str<strong>on</strong>g> could be help<br />

to the expert system developers <strong>in</strong> order to make their<br />

products faster and more attractive. This <str<strong>on</strong>g>study</str<strong>on</strong>g> discussed <strong>web</strong><br />

<strong>based</strong> envir<strong>on</strong>ment and <strong>in</strong>volvement of <strong>knowledge</strong> <strong>m<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g</strong><br />

towards learn<strong>in</strong>g and teach<strong>in</strong>g, basic requirement of <strong>web</strong><br />

<strong>based</strong> learn<strong>in</strong>g. Companies that offer specialist advices or<br />

recommendati<strong>on</strong>s <strong>in</strong> any field to the large number of<br />

customers can, <strong>on</strong> the basis of this <str<strong>on</strong>g>study</str<strong>on</strong>g>, make their advisory<br />

or recommendati<strong>on</strong> systems more attractive and payable.<br />

Theoretical results of this <str<strong>on</strong>g>study</str<strong>on</strong>g> could also lead to explor<strong>in</strong>g<br />

new ways of <strong>knowledge</strong> representati<strong>on</strong>.<br />
