From its founding more than 100 years ago, IIT has been committed to its primary mission <strong>of</strong> preparing<br />

Through IIT’s Co-op and Internship Programs, students can gain experiential education prior to graduation.<br />
Opportunities are available through the Career Management Center’s (CMC) database. <strong>Student</strong>s must<br />
attend an Introduction to Cooperative Education and Internship workshop to be eligible in these<br />
opportunities.<br />
Copy and Postal Center<br />
The Copy and Postal Center, located in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center, provides a full range<br />
<strong>of</strong> copy and printing services, which include black-and-white or color photocopying, large format posters,<br />
fax and mail services. Please stop by to receive a brochure that outlines the available services. Mail for<br />
residents <strong>of</strong> MSV and SSV will be distributed from this location. The Copy and Postal Center is open from<br />
8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Office Services, where most <strong>of</strong> the printing and all <strong>of</strong> the<br />
color work is done is located in the basement (41B) <strong>of</strong> Perlstein.<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> the Dean <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong>s serves as the primary advocate and ombuds <strong>of</strong>fice for students. The<br />
Dean <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong>s oversees many areas <strong>of</strong> student life including Campus Life, Residence & Greek Life,<br />
<strong>Student</strong> Health & Wellness Center, <strong>Student</strong> Conduct, Spiritual Life & Service Learning, and Women’s<br />
Services. The Dean <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong>s <strong>of</strong>fice also provides notary public service and manages the UPass<br />
program.<br />

If you need an escort to your car, campus residence or the nearby CTA late at night, a Public Safety<br />
Officer will be dispatched to accompany you to your destination. You will be asked to provide your name,<br />
location, number <strong>of</strong> persons requesting the escort, a call back telephone number, and your campus<br />
destination. Please remember to allow for extra time when requesting an escort, as emergency calls and<br />
calls for service <strong>of</strong> a higher priority may cause a delay in your request. Public Safety Officers are not<br />
permitted to carry or assist with packages or luggage when performing this service.
