12 EMERSON. CONSIDER IT SOLVED.

The MV Station is designed to accelerate installation,
commissioning and grid connection, while assuring the optimal
environmental protection for the life of your plant.
Transformers and Switchgear
Transformer and associated switch schemes
are individually engineered to meet the
exacting requirements of both the Network
Operator and the owner. Where possible,
equipment is sourced locally ensuring full
code compliance. A variety of transformer
option types are available including low loss,
oil filled, dry and indoor or outdoor. Standard
transformer design, typically Dy5, is a feature
of the SPV solution.
Emerson Balance of System Equipment
Solar Tracking Systems
In order to maximize yield, electronic positional control
equipment manufactured by Emerson, such as solar
tracker motors, gearboxes, and drive components are
available. The core robust drive technology is identical
to that used in the SPV solar inverter which simplifies
system connectivity and maintenance. For more
information on Emerson’s solar tracking components,
please contact us for more details.
String Connection Boxes
String combiner boxes simplify DC connections between
array and inverter. Generally they incorporate array
fuses, surge protection and a master DC isolation switch.
Often string current and voltage sensors are included
which allow plant performance to be monitored in
greater detail. Inputs for meteorological instruments are
typically part of the package.
design that is proven to be robust.
Higher efficiency, more of the time
Emerson SPV inverters are highly efficient (>98 %)
and because of our unique modular inverter solution,
we turn-on sooner and turn-off later, efficiently
generating more energy with lower irradiance levels
than bulk-style inverter solutions.
Energized to meet your deadlines
Emerson understands the time pressures associated
with PV plant installations; our project management
teams work tirelessly ensuring you meet your start up
deadlines.
Wherever you are, so are we
Emerson employs more than 140,000 people, the
majority of which are located within engineering
centres around the World, focussed on project
engineering and support for our energy conversion
products.
As much or as little as you need
Emerson can provide as much or as little of the PV
inverter system as you need, from a single inverter to
a complete solution incorporating string connection
boxes, transformer, shelter/E-house, medium voltage
switch and SCADA.
Complete peace of mind
Extended warranties and service contracts up to 20
years are available to ensure the highest energy yield
is maintained over the lifetime of the plant.
Ready for PV industry growth
Emerson is geared up to mass-produce standard
modules with high availability to support the
continual growth of the PV industry.
5. 10.
Tolerant to faults
Emerson inverters are fault tolerant. In the event
that an inverter module trips the inactive module is
automatically isolated so that the system can continue
generating. System redundancy can also be specified
for critical applications.
In service around the world
Emerson’s solar solutions are truly global in coverage,
whether in the Americas, EMEA or Asia Pacific,
Emerson has the installed experience to help drive the
change of energy.
