VERITAS TO ISSUE REPORT: Shipping documents and Certificate of Analysis/Quality (if applicable)<br />

TYPE OF REPORT ISSUED: Inspection Certificate to exporter only.<br />

REPORT PURPOSE: An “Inspection Certificate” required by the Exporter to negotiate his<br />

Letter of Credit (L/C) or sight draft negotiation.<br />

6. Inspection fees<br />

Inspection fees borne by the Importers but paid by the Exporter directly to <strong>Bureau</strong> <strong>Veritas</strong> Centre of Relations<br />

with Exporters (CRE).<br />

Nevertheless, <strong>Bureau</strong> <strong>Veritas</strong> may also invoice the Seller in the event of supplementary inspection visits (in vain<br />

or unsatisfactory results during first Inspection).<br />

The costs incurred by the Seller in presenting the goods for inspection, such as unpacking, handling, testing,<br />

sampling, repackaging... are for the Seller’s account.<br />

7. List of goods exempted<br />

• Importations from Barter Trade countries;<br />

• Importations without payment of foreign exchange unless inspection specifically requested by importer.<br />

Exception: goods benefiting from special facilities.<br />

• The following organisations: Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, Plan and Budget Organisation, Physical<br />

Education Organisation of Iran, Islamic Republic of Iran Voice and Image Organisation, Islamic Republic of<br />

Iran Central Bank and other banks of the country.On case by case basis for the following organisations:<br />

Bonyad Shahid Enghalab Eslami, Bonyad 15 Khordad, Bonyad Jenbazan, Headquarters of the War<br />

Reconstruction and Renovation, Committee Emdad Imam Khomeini;<br />

• Arms and ammunitions,<br />

• Gold;<br />

• Precious stones;<br />

• Goods with origin CIS.<br />

10. Other relevant information<br />

All goods purchased from Syria and also all Iron and Steel products under Tariff No. 73/06 to 73/40 with country<br />

of shipment as Japan, South Korea, The Netherlands, Turkey, England, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden,<br />

Norway, Finland, Canada, Australia, Brazil are to be inspected only by IEI.<br />

11. Geographical inspection zones<br />

World-wide except Israel<br />

The information contained herein is for the purpose of facilitating Pre-Shipment Inspection and does not relieve Exporters or Importers from<br />

their obligations in respect of compliance with the import regulations of the country of importation. Although every effort has been made to<br />

ensure the correctness of the information, as at the date of issuance of this data sheet, <strong>Bureau</strong> <strong>Veritas</strong> does not accept any responsibility for<br />

errors or omissions and, furthermore, the information may subsequently be subject to change as may be announced by the Authorities in the<br />

country of importation. Consequently, Exporters are advised to check with <strong>Bureau</strong> <strong>Veritas</strong>, prior to shipment of the goods, if there is any<br />

doubt concerning the issuance of a Clean Report of Findings.<br />
