The programme fee shall be payable only by means of Demand draft drawn in favour of “<strong>IGNOU</strong>” and payable<br />

at the city where your regional centre is located. Please write your name & address (in Capitals) and programme<br />

name at the back of your demand draft to ensure proper credit to your fee account. Application and D/D are to<br />

be submitted at the concerned <strong>IGNOU</strong> regional Centres only, but not to send to the head quarters.<br />

3.4 Medium of Instruction<br />

M.Com (BP & CG) is presently offered in English medium only.<br />

3.5 Duration of the Programme<br />

The duration of the programme shall be minimum 2 years and maximum 5 years with a provision for readmission<br />

on the completion of maximum period. A student, who has already completed ICSI programme, may complete<br />

this Programme in a minimum period of one year (subject to a minimum of two years from completion of<br />

graduation) and a maximum period of four years.<br />

3.6 Evaluation System<br />

The student may simultaneously study M.Com. Programme along with ICSI Professional Programme.<br />

The student shall pursue Part A courses with <strong>IGNOU</strong> and the evaluation system for these courses is as per the<br />

six credit course of <strong>IGNOU</strong>. Evaluation system consists of continuous evaluation through assignments (30%<br />

weightage) and term-end examination (70% weightage).<br />

The student shall pursue Part B course with ICSI as part of Company Secretaryship Professional<br />

Programme. On completion of Company Secretaryship Professional Programme, students shall get automatic<br />

credit transfer for all these courses in this specialized M.Com Programme as may be decided by the Coordination<br />

Committee.<br />

At the end, the students are awarded Master of Commerce in Busines Policy and Corporate Governance [M.Com<br />

(BP & CG)] by <strong>IGNOU</strong> as per the following scheme:<br />

Below 40%<br />

Unsuccessful<br />

40% – 49.99% IIIrd Division<br />

50% – 59.99% IInd Division<br />

60% and above Ist Division<br />

If the students admitted to this programme desire to switch over to existing M.Com. Programme at a later stage,<br />

they may be permitted so by providing credit transfer as per the credit transfer scheme of <strong>IGNOU</strong>.<br />
