Roles def<strong>in</strong>ition Program is coord<strong>in</strong>ated through <strong>the</strong> Health and Nutrition Coord<strong>in</strong>ation Unit with a MICAH<br />

program <strong>of</strong>ficer, and implemented with technical support by Branch <strong>of</strong>fices.<br />

• Steer<strong>in</strong>g committee at each project site: l<strong>in</strong>e m<strong>in</strong>istries, woreda & kebele staff,<br />

community members, project staff (NGOs). Involved <strong>in</strong> plann<strong>in</strong>g monitor<strong>in</strong>g evaluation.<br />

• Health services delivered by MOH staff. MICAH provides f<strong>in</strong>ancial, supplies, and<br />

logistics support; tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g; per diem for field trips; transportation; cold cha<strong>in</strong> equipment.<br />

• MOARD provides seeds, poultry, dairy goats, & small trees , with tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g.<br />

World Vision coord<strong>in</strong>ates work under <strong>the</strong> project <strong>of</strong> six NGOs - CARE, CPAR, Family<br />

itself. The project implementers work closely with l<strong>in</strong>e m<strong>in</strong>istries - Health, Water<br />

Resources, Education, and Agriculture.<br />

Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g on nutrition, food preparation, agricultural production <strong>of</strong> nutritious food, and<br />

health – IMCI, malaria prevention and control, optimal child feed<strong>in</strong>g practices, Hearth<br />

model, micronutrient deficiencies . Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g provided to MOARD extension workers,<br />

MOARD development agents, and project staff.<br />

Posters, leaflets, booklets, videos, t-shirts, caps, drama clips, songs, billboards. Hearth<br />

Model manual. Micronutrient teach<strong>in</strong>g aids for child health workers. Micronutrient tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />

guide for project level.<br />
