4.3.2.4. Nutritional care practices<br />

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that <strong>in</strong>fants are exclusively<br />

breastfed for <strong>the</strong> first 6 months <strong>of</strong> life. “Exclusively breastfed” means giv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>fant<br />

noth<strong>in</strong>g but breast milk (no water, no o<strong>the</strong>r liquids, no solid foods) from zero to six months.<br />
