Appendix A Output spectrum Figure A.1a shows the output spectrum of the HeNe laser. Figure A.1b shows the spectrum of the gas glow. Notice the broad spectrum and the many lines emitted. It is possible to get the the fluorescent tube lasing at both green, yellow and orange wavelengths.
