5.4 Account Info File<br />

This file contains information about the account. In Table 21:<br />

• The data element 1 Account Status indicates whether an<br />

account is active, closed suspended etc.<br />

o 0 – Active<br />

o 1 – Closed<br />

o 2- Suspended<br />

• The data element 2 Mode of Operation indicates whether<br />

the account is to be operated singly, jointly, either or<br />

survivor etc.<br />

o 0 – Singly<br />

o 1 – Jointly<br />

o 2 - Either or Survivor<br />

• <strong>Data</strong> element 3, 4 and 5 are Current balance, Available<br />

balance and Drawing Power respectively.<br />

o Current balance is the balance in the card after<br />

completion of the transaction in the card, irrespective<br />

of the synchronization or otherwise with the<br />

backend. The current balance will be equal to<br />

backend balance on synchronization.<br />

o No non cash collections are enabled / considered in<br />

the front end.<br />

o DP is the limit made available to the customer at the<br />

given point of time.<br />

o Available balance is the amount available for<br />

withdrawal / transaction by the customer.<br />

o Current Balance + DP = Available Balance<br />
