5.4 Account Info File
This file contains information about the account. In Table 21:
• The data element 1 Account Status indicates whether an
account is active, closed suspended etc.
o 0 – Active
o 1 – Closed
o 2- Suspended
• The data element 2 Mode of Operation indicates whether
the account is to be operated singly, jointly, either or
survivor etc.
o 0 – Singly
o 1 – Jointly
o 2 - Either or Survivor
• Data element 3, 4 and 5 are Current balance, Available
balance and Drawing Power respectively.
o Current balance is the balance in the card after
completion of the transaction in the card, irrespective
of the synchronization or otherwise with the
backend. The current balance will be equal to
backend balance on synchronization.
o No non cash collections are enabled / considered in
the front end.
o DP is the limit made available to the customer at the
given point of time.
o Available balance is the amount available for
withdrawal / transaction by the customer.
o Current Balance + DP = Available Balance
