Work, <strong>learning</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>reflection</strong>: theoretical background<br />

usefulness <strong>of</strong>, for example, the trajectory concept in the context <strong>of</strong> underst<strong>and</strong>ing<br />

cooperative <strong>work</strong> <strong>and</strong> support for that <strong>work</strong>.<br />

<strong>The</strong> basic assumptions about social interaction underlying Strauss‟ theory <strong>of</strong> action are<br />

compatible with the theoretical underpinnings <strong>of</strong> the <strong>work</strong> in this thesis. <strong>The</strong> trajectory<br />

concept has been applied in the research papers P5-P8 as a core concept shedding light<br />

on how team members conceptualize a project process <strong>and</strong> what may be adequate<br />

external representations <strong>of</strong> a project process when people (e.g. project team members)<br />

are to reconstruct, discuss <strong>and</strong> reflect on their process.<br />
