HEAVY GROUND MOBILITY SYSTEM
HGMS is FAUN’s Heavy Ground Mobility
System. HGMS is a modular roadway
system used for the rapid deployment
and recovery of vehicles and people. It
provides temporary access into areas
where there are no roads or the roads
have been damaged.
It is an effective solution over soft,
muddy, marshy, snowy, beach or desert
terrain. It can also provide access to
bridgeheads and aircraft recovery.
HGMS

MODULAR
HGMS is a modular system, it consists of:
• Trackway - aluminium panels that make up the roadway
• Trackrack - the launch and recovery system for
the Trackway
• Spoolrack - additional roads lengths for the Trackrack
Trackway
The aluminium panels are available in standard widths of
4572 mm. Designated as MLC 70, Trackway can be
laid onto any terrain to assist in the traffic of the heaviest
vehicles.
Versatility
The system has been designed for hook lift systems, but can
be chassis mounted, which allows it to be transported as
PLS/DROPS system. The HGMS can be mounted onto a wide
variety of vehicles and be transported on commercial trucks,
planes, trains and boats.
Speed
HGMS is deployed very quickly and efficiently. A two man
team will deploy 50m of roadway in less than 10 minutes
over the toughest of terrain.
Spool to spool
Spoolrack carries additional road lengths for the
Trackrack, so that a further 50m road length can be
transfered without the use of a crane.
Design standards
Designed to the highest standards DIN 30722-1, SS3659,
STANAG2413 and ISO668, the roadway, launch and
recovery systems are interchangeable between these
standards to meet your requirements. Countries have made
group purchases of HGMS the product has been designed to
meet all the standards required.
