Hobbies and Talents Evening / Muga Launch Night Next Thursday, we shall be having our Hobbies and Talents evening where each child is invited to share their talent or hobby through a display etc. The teachers have been working with the children in class, as part of our SEAL theme ‘Good To Be Me’ to help children think about their special gifts and talents. Parents are invited to come along with their children, to look at the range of displays and presentations. If children have items for display, such as a collection of objects they are asked to bring them to school on Thursday so that they can be put out on display in the hall during the afternoon ready, for the evening. There will also be a short presentation about the development of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) on the school site and how parents can get involved. Please complete the slip below to confirm your child’s attendance. Express Drop – Its behind you! Don’t forget if the office is busy, or not manned, you can leave any reply slips, money or cheques in the secure express drop box which is behind you on the left, as you come in the door towards the school office. This is a better place to leave more personal or confidential information and money rather than on the desk in the office. Bags will come home in book bags soon, and you can drop them off anytime between now and 8th March. If you need further information see Alison Webber. If you are interested in doing this, you can enter on the website http://www.thegreatwestrun.co.uk/html/enter.html, then pick up one of our sponsor forms in the office. Some of our runners haven't even started training yet, so if you fancy the challenge - just do it! Speak to Cheryl Haddy or Dawn Chapman for further information. Parents Evening / Reports
Later this half term there will be parent’s evening for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. This is an
opportunity for parents to meet with the class teacher and their children to review progress, find out how
children have settled in and to set and review learning targets which are particularly important for children in

Year 6. Further details will appear shortly on how to sign up for the parents evening appointments. For children
in Years 2 – 5, parents will receive their annual written report, near the end of the term.
A reminder that learning starts at 8:50am, children should be ready to enter the classroom when the whistle
goes at this time.
As always I am available to see parents, if they have any worries or concerns and I am usually on the playground
at the start of the day or you can contact the school office, to make an appointment to discuss more confidential
matters.
Yours sincerely
