Jonathan Zittrain’s recent book: The Future of the Internet -- And How to Stop it<br />

offers a technical, legal, policy, and social view of the future of the Internet and<br />

why “tethered appliances” ends the tradition of a generative system (which have<br />

the ability to “produce unanticipated change through unfiltered contributions from<br />

broad varied audiences”[6]) potentially leading to ending the cycle of innovation<br />
