The Government of India has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the<br />
National Agricultural Innovation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward<br />
payments under the contract for supply of Cryogenic grinder for spices. The International Crops<br />
Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Patancheru, Hyderabad, Andhra<br />
Pradesh, India now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:<br />

The delivery period is within 90 days from the date of opening of Letter of Credit/Notification of<br />
Award.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified<br />
in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (current<br />
edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.<br />
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding<br />
documents at the address below during office hours i.e. 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A complete set of<br />
bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a<br />
written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 1000 or<br />
in US $25. The method of payment will be by Demand Draft/Cashier’s Cheque/Certified Cheque<br />
in favour of “ICRISAT” payable at Hyderabad along with the bid. The document will be sent by<br />
courier on payment of an extra amount of Rs.250 for domestic bidder and US $20 for overseas<br />
bidder if requested by mail.<br />
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in INR as indicated above or its equivalent<br />
amount in a freely convertible currency, and be delivered to the address below by 11:00 AM on<br />
17 th March, 2010. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’<br />
representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.<br />
