Yol<strong>and</strong>e Mukagasana is a widow <strong>and</strong> survivor genocide against the<br />

Tutsi in Rw<strong>and</strong>a, in which her children were killed. A writer <strong>and</strong> lecturer,<br />

she is also the founder <strong>of</strong> the “Nyamirambo Point d’Appui”, an association<br />

for the memory <strong>of</strong> the genocide. Advisor <strong>to</strong> the National Commission<br />

for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG).<br />

Bosiljka Schedlich worked in the field <strong>of</strong> cultural <strong>and</strong> educational work<br />

with immigrant women. Since 1991 she has been direc<strong>to</strong>r <strong>of</strong> the South -<br />

east Europe Culture Association (südost Europa Kultur) in Berlin, which<br />

seeks <strong>to</strong> promote <strong>and</strong> develop <strong>to</strong>lerance <strong>and</strong> underst<strong>and</strong>ing between<br />

different national <strong>and</strong> religious groups.<br />

Simone Susskind was the president <strong>of</strong> the Centre Communautaire Laïc<br />

Juif (1985-1996) in Brussels. She is an activist for human rights, for a<br />

just <strong>and</strong> sustainable Israeli-Palestinian peace, <strong>and</strong> for the role <strong>of</strong> women<br />

in conflict resolution <strong>and</strong> women’s rights in the Middle East <strong>and</strong> the<br />

Med iterranean region.<br />
