4. FIRST AID MEASURES:
General instructions : If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
Eye contact : Flush the eyes for several minutes under running water
or sterile eye-rinse fluid with the eyelids held open. If
symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
Skin contact : Wash off immediately with soap and water and rinse
thoroughly.
If skin irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Inhalation : Move to area with plenty of fresh air and seek medical
attention. In the case of unconsciousness, maintain and
transport person lying on their side.
Ingestion : Do not induce vomiting; seek medical attention
immediately.
5. MEASURES IN THE CASE OF FIRE
Suitable extinguishing media : CO2, powder fire extinguisher or water jet. In the case of
lager fires use water hose jet or alcohol-resistant foam to
fight the fire.
Special hazards present with the If heated or in the case of fire, production of poisonous gases
substance, its products of combustion is possible (CO)
or the gases produced. :
Special protective equipment Wear breathing apparatus with self-contained air supply
to be used when fire-fighting. : Wear whole-body protective suit
Unsuitable extinguishing medium High pressure water jet
for reasons of safety. :
Additional data: : If no direct fire effects or intense heat has yet occurred
move the stored material to a location free of hazards
or protect against overheating (e.g. by spraying with water.
With the bursting of overheated pressurized gas containers,
these are ejected with great force – risk of injury, risk of
explosive vapours.
6. MEASURES IN THE CASE OF ACCIDENTAL RELEASE
Safety measures for Provide sufficient ventilation
personal protection : Remove sources of ignition
Wear protective gloves
Separate out leaking containers.
Environmental protection measures : Prevent entry into drains, ditches and cellars.
In the case of entry into bodies of water or drains, inform
the relevant authorities.
Cleaning/absorbing procedures : Remove with absorbent material for fluids (sand,
diatomaceous earth, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).
Dispose of contaminated material as special waste.
Additional information : not available
