The year 2007 marks the beginning of the new programming period 2007-2013. It will be
a period of continuous challenges to accomplish the Lisbon Agenda, to even out regional
differences and to increase competitiveness in Europe.
How can we achieve this ? One of the means can be sharing our experience in the
following areas :
Adjusted Lisbon Agenda – Focus on the new programming period
Cohesion Policy : More than redistribution of funds
Regional Competitiveness : The role of RDAs
European Territorial Cooperation : Together we can achieve more
Programme Approach to Regional Development
Implementation of Regional Development Programmes

A project networking market will be held during the Congress.
The working languages of the event are English and Slovak.

Transport
When travelling to Bratislava you may use either the Bratislava Airport or the Vienna Airport (ca. 55 km
from Bratislava).
Transport to Bratislava
Besides regular transport from both airports to the city of Bratislava, a special bus marked “EURADA”
will be arranged (free of charge). It will depart on 27. Sept from Vienna airport at 15:00 and 20:00, the
same bus will pick up participants from Bratislava airport at 16:30 and 21:30. The bus will bring
participants to their hotels.
Transport from Bratislava
On 29. September 2006, after excursion, a special bus to Vienna Airport will be arranged (free of
charge). Departure at 14.00 and 17:00 from the Holiday Inn Hotel.
Note:
There is possibility to arrange special car/microbus for transport from/to Vienna and Bratislava airports.
For prices and further details ask the arranging institution SATUR.
City-sightseeing of Bratislava
Guided tour (bus/walk) on 27. September 2006 starts at 18:00 from hotel Holiday Inn, duration ca 2
hours.
Excursion to Malacky
Malacky is a small town some 30 km from Bratislava. It lies not far from border to Austria, so it has
good opportunities for cross-border cooperation. A project from this area will be shown and presented.
