The Clienia Group is among the leading institutions
in German-speaking Switzerland for psychiatric,
psychotherapeutic and psychosomatic
treatment services. Everyone benefits from the

Psychiatric help must be given in time, or better yet, at an early stage, to ease the
suffering of those affected as quickly as possible. We are available round the clock.
Any assistance is given on the basis of a compassionate, supportive relationship.
We see sufferers of mental illness as unique individuals, and we structure our services
flexibly and in line with the needs of the patient. Patients are encouraged to participate
in co-managing their treatment and medication. People suffering from acute
illness are given the necessary protection within the scope of our duty of care. To
achieve this, the patient’s loved ones are involved in the treatment, if possible and
desired. Confidentiality and discretion are a given.
The Clienia Group builds on a decades-long family tradition for its funding. It
is the basis of long-standing and extensive contracts with the cantons of Zurich,
Thurgau, Schwyz, Zug, Uri, Lucerne, Schaffhausen and St Gallen and the Principality
of Liechtenstein. In addition, the Group has earned itself a solid reputation among
patients with a private or semi-private insurance, with a range of specially structured
services that utilise the latest medical knowledge. The Group has long-standing and
collaborative agreements with all major health insurance firms, both covering the
mandatory basic insurance scheme and catering for the extended benefits enjoyed
by those with private and semi-private insurance. Over 1,200 staff members see
themselves as service providers for our patients and as partners for the referring physicians.
We aim to use the resources at our disposal to produce the greatest possible
benefit. In line with this ethos, we keep our treatments as short as possible, and as
long as necessary. Because ultimately, everyone benefits from the patient’s speedy
return to his or her usual social setting.

Clienia Private Clinic Littenheid
With around 200 beds, the private clinic offers a wide range of psychiatric and
psychotherapeutic services for all age groups. In addition to a centre for child and
adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy (for children aged 10 to 18) with five care
groups, services include acute and geriatric psychiatric care, a day clinic, four specialist
wards with therapeutic emphasis specific to various disorders, and a private
ward with the comforts of an up-scale hotel. The Clienia Private Clinic Littenheid
is a listed hospital for the cantons of Thurgau, Schwyz, Zug, Uri, Lucerne, Schaffhausen
and Zurich and the principality of Liechtenstein.
Clienia Private Clinic Schlössli
With around 210 beds, this well-established private clinic for psychiatric, psychotherapeutic
and psychosomatic treatment offers people in crisis situations individual counselling
and treatment with the highest level of professional competence. In addition to
the basic in-patient provision with a 24-hour emergency unit, services include exclusive
private wards for adults and the elderly, psychotherapy wards and specialist services.
All wards are equipped and specialised to provide psychotherapeutic services. Scientifically-based
treatments from the field of complementary medicine, such as phytotherapy,
acupuncture, biofeedback and hypnosis, support the recovery process.
Clienia Bergheim
In clear differentiation from the nursing homes and residential care homes offered
by community authorities, as well as providing professional somatic care, Clienia
Bergheim is specialised in the long-term psychiatric care of elderly people with various
forms of dementia, schizophrenia, depression, substance addictions and personality
disorders. The service includes 24-hour nursing and medical support, physiotherapy,
activity therapy, family liaison, palliative care and pastoral care, as well as work
with key carers. The services of the Clienia Bergheim clinic are offered throughout
Switzerland and abroad.
Clienia Psychiatric Centre Männedorf
The Clienia Psychiatric Centre Männedorf (Clienia Psychiatriezentrum Männedorf,
PZM) is part of the Clienia Private Clinic Schlössli, and covers the north-eastern side
of Lake Zurich, Pfannenstiel and parts of the Zurich Oberland regions. It operates
a healthcare centre (out-patient clinic) and two day clinics, one of them specifically
for the elderly. An emergency service is also available here. In the case of mental
problems, crises and illnesses, the expert staff are on hand to provide assessment,
counselling and treatment services. Our psychiatric and psychosomatic consultation
service carries out assessments and treatments for patients at Männedorf Hospital.

Clienia Psychiatric Centre Uster
As an external department of the Clienia Psychiatric Centre Wetzikon, the Clienia Psychiatric
Centre Uster (Clienia Psychi atriezentrum Uster, PZU) offers a supplementary
range of specialist consulting services in adult and geriatric psychiatry, with day clinic
places for people aged 60 upwards as well as liaison and consultation services for somatic
clinics and institutions. It provides care for people with personality disorders and
with Attention Deficit Syndrome in individual and group therapies, and offers semi-residential
provision in day clinics for the elderly. The psychiatric and psychosomatic consultation
service carries out assessments and treatments for patients at Uster Hospital.
Clienia Psychiatric Centre Wetzikon
The Clienia Psychiatric Centre Wetzikon (Clienia Psychiatriezentrum Wetzikon, PZW)
is part of the Clienia Private Clinic Schlössli, and includes a healthcare centre for
adults aged 18 or above, specialist consultation services, a psychiatric day clinic for
adults, a psychological and geriatric psychiatric service with Memory Clinic, and a
day clinic for the elderly. The Clienia Psychiatric Centre Wetzikon ensures out-patient
and semi-residential psychiatric and psychotherapeutic service provision for the region,
and also offers an emergency service during opening hours. Our service carries
out assessments and treatments for patients at the GZO hospital in Wetzikon.
Clienia Outpatient Clinic Wetzikon
Along with advisory services, assessment, care and treatment, the Clienia Outpatient
Clinic Wetzikon (Clienia Ambulatorium Wetzikon, ABW) also conducts crisis intervention
talks within 24 hours. Close cooperation with the Clienia Private Clinic Schlössli
makes it possible for the Outpatient Clinic Wetzikon to perfectly integrate out-patient,
semi-residential and in-patient treatment forms, enabling it to provide patients
with optimal care at all times. The appropriate treatment plans are created on an individual
basis.
Clienia External Psychiatric Service Sirnach
The Clienia External Psychiatric Service Sirnach (Clienia Externer Psychiatrische
Dienst Sirnach, EPD) provides out-patient psycho-social services for the South Thurgau
region and neighbouring areas, and also offers an emergency service during opening
hours. The therapy provision includes psychiatric and psychotherapeutic assessments
and treatments for children, adolescents and adults. The service caters for
people who are experiencing a psychological crisis, suffering from a mental illness
or in need of professional follow-up care after a stay in a psychiatric hospital.
Clienia Winterthur, Psychiatric and Psychotherapy Practice
Under the umbrella of the Clienia Group, a psychiatric and psychotherapy practice
offers out-patient services in Winterthur. The practice offers prompt first appointments,
and with a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services caters to anyone suffering
from psychiatric or psychotherapeutic problems, regardless of the diagnosis. The
Stiftung Krisenintervention Schweiz (Swiss Crisis Intervention Foundation) is located on
the same premises, which for more than 20 years has been dedicated to the emergency
psychological counselling and care of people in crisis. The organisation has cooperation
agreements with numerous firms, schools, municipalities and associations throughout
Switzerland.
