ChapterVII. :Mdrtality in Early Childhood 133 MORTALITY IN CHILDREN 2-4 YEARS OF AGE While total death rates of children one year of age varied from 0.8 to 50.7 per 1,000 population, in the remainder of early childhood the variation was much less, from 0.7 to 18.0 (Table 69 and Figure 66).
