and at Andreasberg in the Harz, associated with ores of silver,<br />

native arsenic, galena, etc.; at Allcmont, France; Casalla, Spain; and<br />

in Bolivia, South America.<br />

Composition.—Analysis gives :—<br />

Properties.—In masses of fibrous structure, and also in fine noodles.<br />

Occurrence. —Anquimarca, Peru.<br />

Famatinite.<br />

Composition.—Cu8SbS4 or Cu2S.SbaS6.<br />

Properties.—Orthorhombic. Also massive, llathcr brittle. H. =-<br />

3*5. G-. = 4-57. Colour gray with a tinge of copper-red. Streak<br />

black. Opaque.<br />

Occurre?ice.—With enargite, chalcopyrite, pyrito, (itc, in the Sierra<br />

de Famatina, Argentine Jlopublie; also at Cerro do I^IHOO, Peru.<br />

Freieslebenite.<br />

Composition.—(Pb, Ago)nSbJS11 or 5(Pb, Ag2)S.2Sb2Sn or Pbr)Sb#1Sn.<br />

Properties.—Monoelinic. Habit prismatic; prismatic planes vertically<br />

striated. Bather brittle. H.^2-2'5. G.^ 6-2-6'4. Lustre<br />

metallic. Colour and streak light steel-gray. Fuses easily before<br />

blowpipe.<br />

Occurrence.—At Freiberg, Saxony; at Kapnik, Hungary; at<br />

Folsobanya, Hungary; and at HiciKleleneina, Spain.<br />

Guejarite.<br />

Composition.—OuliSb(jS7 or Cu2S.2Sb2S8.<br />

Pro2>erties.~"Orthorhombic. hi prismatic crystals. (Uves oil'<br />

antimony fumes before blowpipe ; yields metallic copper when treated<br />

with soda.<br />

Occurrence.—At the copper mines at foot of Mu ley-11 aeon, Andalusia.
