At Banya the bed is built of fire-clay 11 inches thick, well rammed<br />

into an iron box 13 feet long by 8 feet 2 inches wide. A charge<br />

consists of 10 cwts. only of the unrefined metal.<br />

very impure antimony is refined first by soda and then by antimony<br />
