BOGE AIR. THE AIR TO WORK.
BOGE ED Series:
Refrigerant Dryers
CONSISTENT PRESSURE DEW POINT
The stainless steel 3-in-1 heat exchanger
with integrated separator assures a consistent
pressure dew point under differing ambient
conditions. The low pressure differential ensures
high quality compressed air.
FULLY AUTOMATIC VALVE
A check valve is designed to proportionally
control the fl ow of the refrigerant into the
heat exchanger according to the air volume
fl ow. The R134a and R407c coolants ensure
environmentally friendly operation.
STATIC CONDENSER
A static condenser means the ED 3 - ED 17
series is air cooled working reliably without
any additional fan or energy consumption.
AIR COOLED CONDENSER
Extremely large cooling coils means that
the condenser is able to work effectively
and effi ciently even in the most adverse
conditions to cool the saturated compressed
air – for maximum operational safety.
CONTROL
A user friendly control is equipped with an
on/off switch, LED displays for dryer and
compressor operation, and a LED bar
graph display for the pressure dew point.
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
The design feature of the ED 3 - ED 17 series
is the static condenser which allows the
dryer to be air cooled irrespective of variable
ambient temperatures (see conversion factors).
Installation instructions
For the standard dryers, the room and/or
ambient temperature may not exceed +49°C
(ED 3 - 17) or +43°C ED 23 - 137), and not
fall below +4.4°C. The refrigerant dryer should
have suffi cient free space around it in order
to ensure satisfactory cooling air circulation.
A suffi ciently dimensioned drain pipe is
required to take away the condensate.
Design conditions
The max. inlet temperature is +55°C
(ED 3 - ED 17) or +58°C respectively
(ED 23 - ED 137).
Features:
• Dew point bar graph display (ED 3 - ED 40)
and/or LED display (ED 53 - ED 137)
• Timer controlled condensate drain
(except ED 3: type Float)
• Coolant R134a (ED 3 - ED 27)
and R407c (ED 40 - ED 137)
Options:
• Standard bypass line
