EquiSpace ® – more comfort for your horse 

Our space concept for a 

pleasant, safe trip 

The refined Humbaur EquiSpace ® interior ensures the most space 

possible for horses during transport in the trailer and is built into 

the standard models for Balios ® , Xanthos ® and Zephir ® as well 

as their AERO versions. 

The roof, which projects forward, offers your horse freedom of 

movement of the head at ear height. The interior height in this 

area is about 2300 mm.

The split, padded and moulded breast and breech bars can be 

individually suspended at three different levels and depths. This 

permits the stall size in the trailer to be adjusted from pony to 

large horse. The solid interlock from our older models was kept 

for safety reasons and due to its popularity.

The EquiDrive ® frame 

for safe contact with the road 

The Humbaur EquiDrive ® frame, with its hot-dip galvanised longitudinal beam 

chassis, offers high stability and thus the best possible safety. With its significantly 

lower centre of gravity, it ensures gentle driving behaviour for both 

driver and horse – even on difficult terrain.

Top quality to the last detail 

AluBiComp – the floor that 

can handle anything. 

The Humbaur AluBiComp floor isn't just resistant to moisture, 

thanks to its low intrinsic weight (30 % less than wood), it 

increases the effective load capacity of your horse trailer. 

Thanks to its refined design, it cannot rot or be deformed. 

Durability is one of its defining features. 

The composite plate design is made of two outer layers consisting 

of specially coated aluminium sheet metal and a hard polypropylene 

foam core. The special coating of the aluminium 

plates prevents oxidation, e. g. through ammonia from horse 

manure. 

Standard feature in Xanthos ® and Xanthos ® AERO, 

Maximus, Pegasus and Carrus Carriage Trailer. All other 

Humbaur horse trailers can optionally be equipped with the 

AluBiComp floor.

The Windschott (deflector) 

The exclusive Humbaur Windschott (deflector) offers draft-free ventilation and 

continuous airflow. The fine mesh allows airflow while deflecting rainwater, 

since the pores are smaller than water droplets. The water stays outside, 

running downwards and off. 

The Windschott (deflector) is also equipped with an Easy-Roll system for quick 

and quiet rolling when opening – the horses will not be frightened by the roller 

blind snapping upwards. 

The fine mesh lets enough light through to ensure that the interior is bright. 

The Windflap 

The Humbaur Windflap offers draught-free interior ventilation through ventilation 

openings integrated in the all-poly tailgate. Rainwater is deflected. The 

Windflap also incorporates a system that allows you to open the flap easily 

with one hand and integrated gas pressure dampers for sliding and securing 

the flap smoothly.

as AERO models. The poly front integrates harmoniously 

into the design of the trailer, completing the new language of 

form. It ensures improved aerodynamics and therefore lower 

fuel consumption.

AERO models 

The AERO models also expand the utility of your Humbaur 

horse trailer. The standard saddle compartment provides about 

20 % more space for your valuable tack and other personal 

equipment. 

The interior plastic tray defines the additional space in the 

front, insulating the interior against moisture and airflow 

from outside. 

The smooth surfaces in the interior reduce the risk of injury and make cleaning 

a breeze. 

RTM – more quality and 

better environmental 

protection 

Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) is a resin injection process with 

closed forms. The advantages are a constant high quality both 

outside and in the interior of the component. The result is light 

components (such as the roof or side walls) that have smooth 

surfaces on both sides. They ward off dirt and are easy to clean. 

Humbaur has their own FRP fabrication facility, ensuring uniformly 

high product quality “made in Germany”. Protection 

of the environment and staff was significantly improved with 

this environmentally friendly production method. 

The AERO front provides improved aerodynamics, more room, lower fuel 

consumption and an attractive look.

compartment and benefit from even more utility. By the way,

For nearly 30 years, we've been one of the leading manufacturers 

of car trailers. Every year, we produce nearly 50,000 

trailers. We have manufactured more than 600,000 vehicles 

since our company was established. Each of our trailers today 

is a reflection of the knowledge we have acquired over the 

decades.

Before a trailer leaves our factory, highly qualified technicians

from various building blocks, customers can put together a

You can obtain comprehensive service for trailers up to 3.5 t 

from your local dealer. For trailers above 5 t, our broad spectrum 

of services also includes direct service. Regardless of 

whether it concerns the supply of spare parts, or simply 

assistance in the use of your trailer, Humbaur is always at 

your service.

vehicle components from well-known manufacturers. 

The exchange of experience with our suppliers enables us to
