Africa, Asia and Eastern Mediterranean 2012 and 2013

Urge relevant committees to facilitate briefings in National Assemblies and
EALA to raise awareness on CVRS;
Urge Partner States to develop strategies for the use of information and
communication technologies (ICT) for collecting, sharing and analysing data
on maternal newborn and child health (including but not limited to ehealth,
tele-medicine etc.);
Urge Partner National Parliaments to deliberate on and support the
resolutions made during this meeting;
Urge the General Purpose Committee to advocate that EALA increases the
resources allocated for its activities on maternal, new born and child health;
We re-emphasize our commitment to working with other stakeholders
including United Nations agencies, civil society and faith based organisations
to improve records on vital statistics in our countries.
