The first ever <strong>Hartford</strong> Quad Included Arrowhead (rated 2nd in D1), Port<br />

Washington (rated 7th in D2), <strong>Hartford</strong> (rated 10 in D1), and West Allis<br />

Central (rated Honorable Mention in D1). <strong>Hartford</strong> faced WAC in round 1<br />

and defeated them 44-25. Meanwhile, in a minor upset Port Washington<br />

defeated Arrowhead in round 1. In the finals <strong>Hartford</strong> defeated Port 34-<br />

33. The dual was tied 33-33 at the end of the final match and <strong>Hartford</strong><br />

earned the winning point by criteria because <strong>Hartford</strong> had won eight<br />

matches and Port had won six. <strong>Hartford</strong>'s undefeated wrestlers were:<br />

Bobby Nachreiner, Nate Hennes, Nick Becker, Mason Baumgartner,<br />

Austin Cordell, and Nick Larsen. Austin Cordell and Bobby Nachreiner<br />

pinned both of their opponents.<br />

win over West Bend West. The orioles won 11 of 14 matches in the<br />

The <strong>Hartford</strong> <strong>Wrestling</strong> Team won the 36th annual <strong>Hartford</strong> Team<br />

Tournament this Saturday. After defeating West Bend West Friday Night<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> went 5-0 Saturday to win the championship. Five individual<br />

oriole wrestlers went undefeated: Bobby Nachreiner 106, Nate Hennes<br />

138, Nick Becker 160, Mason Baumgartner 182, and Nick Larsen 285.

The <strong>Hartford</strong> <strong>Wrestling</strong> Team Clinched the WLT Dual Title last night in<br />

front of a large, loud, and enthusiastic crowd at Slinger <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong>. The<br />

Orioles defeated the state ranked owls 42-30, on the strength of eight<br />

wins with four pins. The wrestlers have now won 42 consecutive<br />

conference duals, and have not lost a conference dual in 6 years.<br />

all with a 47-27 win last night over Wisconsin Lutheran. The Orioles won<br />

9 of 14 matches picking up 6 pins along the way. Scoring pins for<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> was: Nick Hahn 160, Nick Becker 170, Mason Baumgartner 182,<br />

Austin Cordell 195, Nick Larsen 285, and James Gaffney 126.<br />

Next up, the wrestlers travel to West Allis Central this Friday for the<br />

had 7 individual champions. Oriole Regional Champions were: Bobby<br />

placewinners. At 103 Bobby Nachreiner rebounded<br />

from a tough semi-final lose and took 3rd. At 119 Nate<br />

Hennes had an excellent tournament on his way to<br />

placing 6th. At 130 Nick Becker wrestled all the way<br />

Team balance and the ability to pin was the combination that led to the<br />

first championship of the season. The Orioles placed all team members<br />

and went 11-3 in the final round to secure the championship over #2<br />

rated Pewaukee. Earning championships were: Nick Becker (112), Jarid<br />

Baumgartner (130), Danny Allen (140)and Nick Broadway (189).<br />

Other placewinners were: Cale Klink 5th/103, Zach Durante 3rd/119, Nathan Hennes 5th/125,<br />

Casey Kenealy 6th /135, Weston Klink 4th/145, Matt Kowalke 7th/152, Ben Bunzel 7th/160,<br />

Varsity Reserves Finish 2nd<br />

The Varsity Reserve Team earned a second place finish in a varsity dual<br />

tournament. This was the first time that a reserve team was ever entered in a<br />

varsity tournament. The reserves defeated: Sheboygan North, Ozaukee, West<br />

Allis Hale and Racine Horlick. The only loss came to Waukesha West in the<br />

finals.<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> finishes 5th out of 57 at Oshkosh On The<br />

Once again the Orioles were in the mix with the best in the state. Nick<br />

Becker led the way with a championship at 112 beating two returning<br />

state finalists in the process and Nick Broadway finished second for the<br />

second year in a row.<br />

Other Oriole placers were: Cale Klink 10th at 103, Zach Durante 10th at 119, Danny<br />

Allen 6th at 140, and the steadily improving Tyler Dippel 9th at 275.<br />

Orioles Win Zelinski Duals<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> captured the Zelinski Title for the first time in a field loaded<br />

with state-ranked opponents. <strong>Hartford</strong>, Stoughton and Pewaukee all<br />

fnishished with 4-1 records with <strong>Hartford</strong> winning on the criteria of<br />

most points scored in the duals with tied opponents. This was also the<br />

first time the Zelinski Title was determined in this fashion. Nick Becker<br />

and Tyler Dippel were unbeaten on the day.<br />

In front of a huge crowd the Orioles locked up their third consecutive dual<br />

meet title and tenth title in the last eleven years.<br />

The Orioles completed the regular season with a dominating win over one of the<br />

best from the Classic 8 Conference in Senior Night Action. With the dual tied at<br />

17, Matt Schmirler notched a fall to begin 33 point landslide to overwhelm the<br />

Indians as the Orioles won the last seven matches.<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> rolls to WLT Tournament Title<br />

In a record setting effort the Orioles outpointed second place Oconomowoc by<br />

103.5 points. <strong>Hartford</strong> crowned five champions, highlighted by freshman Nick<br />

Becker's win over Cooney's 2x champion and state ranked Zach Mommaerts.<br />

Zach Durante and Nick Broadway repeated as champions with Cale Klink and<br />

Erik Becker winning their first titles. Finishing second were: Danny Allen,<br />

Weston Klink, Matt Kowalke and Dustin Wilcox. Third place finishers were:<br />

Nathan Hennes, Jarid Baumgartner, Ben Bunzel and Tyler Dippel. Matt<br />

Schmirler finished 4th.<br />

In the history of the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference, <strong>Hartford</strong> leads<br />

with 23 Team Championships and 114 Individual Champions .<br />

Orioles Roll to Regional Title<br />

Another solid team effort resulted in a solid win over second place<br />

Arrowhead. <strong>Hartford</strong> qualified all 14 wrestlers. Earning titles were: Nick<br />

Becker, Zach Durante, Jarid Baumgartner, Danny Allen, Nick Broadway<br />

and Tyler Dippel. Finishing second were: Cale Klink, Weston Klink, and<br />

Freshman Nick Becker finished 4th and Senior Nick Broadway finshed<br />

6th to lead the Oriole effort at State. Senior Danny Allen was one match<br />

away from placing. Becker once again defeated WLT rival Zach<br />

The Orioles once again had a solid effort finishing second behind top rated<br />

Mukwonago in this 18 team invitational. Harford placed nine wrestlers in the top<br />

six, powered by Luke Multhauf's championship. Oriole placewinners were: Duante<br />

5th, Baumgartner 5th, Klink 2nd, Allen 3rd, Linder 3rd, Kenealy 4th, Broadway<br />

3rd, John Gouger 6th. <strong>Hartford</strong> finished ahead of two state ranked honorable<br />

mention teams: Pewaukee and Oak Creek.<br />

The Orioles moved to 3-0 in the Wisconsin Little Ten with a resounding victory over the Beavers. The<br />

victory was highlighted by Nick Broadway's pin of the defending champ at 189. Other Oriole wins by<br />

fall were: Ben Schmirler, Zach Duante (TF), Jarid Baumgartner, Luke Multhauf, Adam Linder, Pat<br />

Kenealy, Jordan Hamilton, Matt Schmirler, and Sean Fuiten.<br />

The Orioles had another great tournament effort finishing 5th out of 53 teams the<br />

this grueling two day tournament. <strong>Hartford</strong> placed ahead of conference rivals<br />

Wisconsin Lutheran and Watertown while wrestling without three starters.<br />

Leading the effort was Nick Broadway at 189 finishing 2nd while losing to the<br />

defending state champ, Luke Multhauf 3rd at 140, Adam Linder 145 and Patrick<br />

Kenealy at 152 were 6th, Jarid Baumgartner 119 and Danny Allen 135 were 12th.<br />

Sean Fuiten 215 and Weston Klink were one match from placing. Everyone of the<br />

eleven wrestlers scored points in the event.<br />

Orioles Miss Out On Regional Title<br />

by 1/2 Point<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> and Fond du lac battled each other all day in this two team race and<br />

when the dust settled, the <strong>Hartford</strong> found itself in second place. The Orioles for<br />

the most part competed very well qualifying 11 wrestlers for the Sectional.<br />

Leading the way were champions: Adam Linder, Luke Multhauf, Patrick kenealy<br />

and Nick Broadway.<br />

Kenealy and Broadway Qualify for State<br />

In one of the toughest Sectionals in the State, the Orioles qualified two as<br />

second place finishers. Luke Multhauf capped his career with a third place finish<br />

while Danny Allen finished 4th.<br />

Nick Broadway finishes 4th at 189!<br />

Junior Nick Broadway had a great tournament just missing 3rd.<br />

Patrick Kenealy qualified but could not come away with a victory as<br />

he lost for the second year to a state finalist.<br />

Patrick Kenealy won his first but failed to place, Katona wrestling in a<br />

named Conference Wreslter of the year. Coach Kreuser announced his<br />

retirement at the coompletion of the seasonn.

The return of state finalist Cody Zimmerman bolstered<br />

at Oshkosh, while teammates Jared Filo (6th), Luke<br />

Multhauf (12th) and Danny Allen (12th) rounded out<br />

Oriole placewinners. Eleven of the twelve entered<br />

scored points as a number of guys went out prior to the<br />

championships. Earning WLT titlles were: Cody<br />

(2x) and Jon Schmidt (3x), while Zach Katona and<br />

Jared Filo finished 2nd. Rounding out the placing were:<br />

A solid Hartland squad earned a repeat trip to team<br />

state in this hotly contested dual. Eight matches were<br />

decided by four points or less and the Warhawks won<br />

six of those eight. Arrowhead was the toughest dual<br />

meet opponent the Orioles have faced this season.<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> Qualifies 5 for STATE<br />

Craig Becker (130) earned his fourth sectional title to<br />

lead the Orioles in the Sectional. Other <strong>Hartford</strong><br />

The Orioles rebounded from the defeat on Thursday<br />

with an outstanding team effort to come from behind<br />

in the final match and claim the championship.<br />

Janesville Craig, <strong>Hartford</strong> and Sparta were with six<br />

points of each other for most of Saturday. Each team<br />

had four in the finals, but <strong>Hartford</strong> was the only team<br />

able to crown three champs (Craig Becker, Ryan<br />

Abbott and Jon Schmidt). Other placers for <strong>Hartford</strong><br />

tremendous weekend at Oshkosh. Brad pinned his way through the tournament while Mike was<br />

not tested as he dominiated a state placewinner from Lux-Casco for his third championship of the<br />

year. Kyle Becker had an outstanding effort finishing 2nd, Ryan Abbott came away with seven<br />

wins while finishing 3rd, Craig Becker finish 5th, and Matt Bourgeois finished 10th. <strong>Hartford</strong> got<br />

point production from nearly everyone in the lineup. The was the highest <strong>Hartford</strong> finish in the<br />

final. Also earning championships were: Craig Becker @ 103, Ryan Abbott @ 130, Kyle Becker @<br />

145 and Mike Schmidt @ 189.<br />

HARTFORD WINS STATE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP<br />

The Orioles went 10-0 on Thursday with 7 falls and a tech to place five in the semi-finals.<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> placed Brad and Kyle Becker in the finals and both ended up with silver. Craig Becker<br />

had the best match of the season and ended up 4th. Ryan Abbott and Mike Schmidt came up with<br />

huge efforts to earn 3rd place honors. In unofficial team scoring, <strong>Hartford</strong> finished ahead of<br />

Milton, Wisconsin Rapids, Menomoniee and Chippewa Falls to round out the top five! This marked<br />

the first time that the Orioles had five in the semifinals and had all wrestlers place!<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> Dominates WLT Championships<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> placed the first nine wrestlers into the finals<br />

and crowned seven champions in winning the tournament by sixty<br />

points over the second place Oconomowoc team. Winning ttles were:<br />

Brad Antonioni, Justin Peterson, Jake Multhauf, Brad Becker, Kyle<br />

Becker, Steve Allar and Kyle Kreuser.<br />

TheOrioles overcame a field which featured four conference champion<br />

teams to win the title. <strong>Hartford</strong> qualified ten for the Sectional<br />

including five champions. Regional Champions were: Jake Multhauf,<br />

Brad Becker, Kyle Becker, Steve Allar and Kyle Kreuser<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> notches eleven wins including 5 falls, 1 tech fall and 2<br />

majors in the victory. The Orioles qualify for State Team for the 5th<br />

consecutive year. Will meet Stoughton in the first round.<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> leads the Oconomowoc Sectional in Champions and Qualifiers<br />

for Individual State<br />

Jake Multhauf, Brad Becker, Steve Allar and Kyle Kreuser go as<br />

champions while Kyle Becker makes his first trip as a runnerup.<br />

Orioles also have two 3rd place finishers.<br />

WIAA Individual State<br />

Brad Becker and Steve Allar lead the <strong>Hartford</strong> effort with silver medal<br />

performances!<br />

Stoughton 39 - <strong>Hartford</strong> 13<br />

<strong>Hartford</strong> drops five close decisions and can't recover to overtake the<br />

Vikings who go on to finish 2nd in state. The dual is highlighted by<br />

Brad Becker's fall over the 135# state champion.
