The following additional questions were asked <strong>to</strong> JAVYS (29.07.13, by email):<br />
How large is your organisation, what structure has it, which divisions are actively involved in<br />
decommissioning work?<br />
Which work structure and which software <strong>to</strong>ols for project management, risk management,<br />
project progress and financial management accounting are in use?<br />
Can you describe skill and knowledge management in your organisation?<br />
Can we have a look in<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Final Decommissioning Plan?<br />
(The following answers were given by JAVYS <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> additional questions, attachments omitted)<br />
How large is your organisation, what structure has it, which divisions are actively involved in<br />
decommissioning work?<br />
JAVYS currently employs 850 people.<br />
In addition <strong>to</strong> operation of V1 NPP, JAVYS operates 5 more nuclear facilities:<br />
- A1 NPP,<br />
- Radioactive Waste Treatment Centre,<br />
- Facility for final processing of liquid radioactive waste,<br />
- National Radioactive Waste Reposi<strong>to</strong>ry,<br />
- Interim Spent Fuel S<strong>to</strong>rage, and<br />
- Production operation of certified RAW packaging forms for <strong>the</strong> National RAW Reposi<strong>to</strong>ry.<br />
In addition, JAVYS is preparing <strong>to</strong> build and operate o<strong>the</strong>r nuclear installations in <strong>the</strong> near future such<br />
as:<br />
- Interim s<strong>to</strong>rage of RAW,<br />
- Final disposal for very low radioactive waste,<br />
- Institutional radioactive waste final disposal.<br />
V1 NPP decommissioning thus represents only one of many activities, belonging <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> responsibility<br />
of JAVYS, which was entrusted by <strong>the</strong> Slovak Government <strong>to</strong> provide comprehensive back end<br />
activities of nuclear power in Slovakia for all producers of radioactive waste and nuclear spent fuel.<br />
In addition, JAVYS is responsible for:<br />
- management of all types of radioactive waste, caught at <strong>the</strong> terri<strong>to</strong>ry of <strong>the</strong> Slovak Republic,<br />
respectively entering <strong>the</strong> terri<strong>to</strong>ry of <strong>the</strong> Slovak Republic, and<br />
- Management of institutional radioactive waste from all o<strong>the</strong>r areas of human activity.<br />
For <strong>the</strong> purpose of exercising <strong>the</strong>se functions, JAVYS is internally divided in<strong>to</strong> five basic divisions:<br />
- Management and Human Resources Section ( 41 employees)<br />
- RAW and SNF Management (240 employees)<br />
