During the visit INPP declared its relationship with the regulatory body as close and reported about
regular communication with its representatives.
Slovakia
The structure of the regulatory bodies in the context of the decommissioning licensing process is
clearly defined. The Slovak Republic (SR) has established nuclear regulation according to the EU
legislative framework.
The supervisory bodies of JAVYS are: the Public Health Authority of the SR, Ministry of Environment
of the SR, the Technological Inspection of the SR, the National Labour Inspectorate, the Regulatory
Office for Network Industries and the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the SR (JAVYS 2013).
The overall structure of the Slovak regulatory bodies is shown in the Figure 39. According to that, the
Nuclear Regulatory Authority UJD SR is situated directly under the Government. As aforementioned,
the Ministry of Economy is the single shareholder of JAVYS.
