holiday, but is required to work on either or both of his regularlyscheduled<br />

days off in that workweek, such employee shall be paid time<br />

and one-half if he works on one of such regularly-scheduled days off<br />

and, in addition, shall be paid double time if he also works on the second<br />

of such regularly-scheduled days off.<br />

(k) When a holiday falls on a regularly-scheduled employee’s<br />

day off, the employee may request, within fourteen (14) days after the<br />

holiday, an unpaid compensatory day off to be scheduled on a date<br />

mutually agreeable to the employee and the Producer.<br />

(l) An employee who is a member of an “on production” crew<br />

shall not be replaced on that production for the purpose of avoiding<br />

premium pay for the sixth or seventh consecutive day worked in a<br />

workweek.<br />

(m) When a driver employed under this <strong>Agreement</strong> is assigned to<br />

work with an “off production” set dressing, pre-rigging or pre-lighting<br />

crew that works five (5) consecutive days, and the crew continues to<br />

work for a sixth and/or seventh day, then the driver may be replaced for<br />

the sixth and/or seventh day if another member of that crew (other than<br />

drivers) is also replaced for work on the sixth and/or seventh days. This<br />

provision shall not apply to studio maintenance assignments.<br />

8. Holidays<br />

(a) Work time on holidays shall be subject to Paragraph 4,<br />

“Night Premiums.” All employees are paid at their scheduled Regular<br />

Basic Hourly Rates.<br />

Minimum calls are as specified in Paragraph 5.<br />

An employee shall not be taken off a weekly schedule solely<br />

for the purpose of evading the holiday obligation under this Paragraph.<br />

(b) New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day (third Monday in<br />

February), Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,<br />

Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day shall<br />

be recognized as holidays. Martin Luther King’s Day shall be added as<br />

a holiday if the Producers agree in negotiations with either the Directors<br />

Guild of America, the Screen Actors Guild or the IATSE (in<br />

negotiations for the Producer-I.A.T.S.E. Basic and West Coast Studio<br />

<strong>Local</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong>s) to add same as an additional holiday.<br />

If any of the above holidays falls on a Saturday, the<br />

preceding Friday shall be considered the holiday and if a holiday falls on<br />
