Producer will submit to the <strong>Local</strong> Union all pertinent<br />

information, such as job description, wage rate, basis of<br />

employment and person selected. A person so selected<br />

may be retained out of seniority for the duration of the<br />

assignment, which shall be for period of one year unless<br />

work is no longer available. Such job(s) shall be subject<br />

to bidding each year.<br />

When performing such work, the employee(s) will be<br />

paid the higher of the applicable wage rates, plus an<br />

additional $1.00 per hour.<br />

With respect to IATSE classifications, the use of hyphenate<br />

drivers is subject to agreement by the IATSE on a<br />

<strong>Local</strong>-by-<strong>Local</strong> basis.<br />

Hyphenate Drivers may be temporarily replaced by another<br />

“Hyphenate Driver” without bidding for the temporary leave,<br />

so long as the replacement is for ninety (90) or fewer days.<br />

This rate has been established through negotiations for the purpose<br />

of paying individuals in accordance with the license requirements<br />

for the equipment listed. Such rate shall not be paid for moving the<br />

equipment from place to place or spotting or gassing, etc.<br />

Shall include drivers of any motor vehicles used in running shots in<br />

tandem to the Camera Car. Rate does not apply when Camera Car<br />

is merely moved around the studio, such as when it is taken to the<br />

Camera Department for loading the evening prior to departure for a<br />

location or moving it to the gasoline pump. On distant location, the<br />

Camera Car rate shall be applicable on any day it is operated by its<br />

driver, but not on days when such driver only operates equipment<br />

not classified as special equipment.<br />

Production Van Driver/Operator - Applicable when a Production<br />

Van Driver employed under this <strong>Agreement</strong> is concurrently<br />

assigned to perform Journeyman Electrician work under the terms<br />

and conditions of the Producer-International Brotherhood of<br />

Electrical Workers, <strong>Local</strong> #40 <strong>Agreement</strong>.<br />

This rate is subject to individual negotiation. In the event a stunt<br />

or “blind” driver has not completed his individual negotiations at<br />

the completion of the day’s work and further negotiations are<br />

necessary, he may be represented by an authorized representative<br />

of the Union to complete such negotiations.<br />
