Traveler Program<br />

Dear Leo:<br />

The following terms shall apply to units working on distant location in the thirteen (13) Western<br />

states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico,<br />

Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming) and the Western Canadian provinces of British Columbia,<br />

Alberta and Saskatchewan:<br />

Whenever the Producer employs a Transportation Coordinator, Driver Gang Boss and<br />

Production Van Driver on distant location in the thirteen (13) Western states and Western<br />

Canadian provinces in accordance with the terms and conditions of this <strong>Agreement</strong>, it may request<br />

implementation of the “Traveler Program.” <strong>Local</strong> #<strong>399</strong> shall grant the request of the Producer to<br />

utilize the “Traveler Program” subject to subparagraphs (a), (b) and (c) below.<br />

(1) When automotive equipment requiring a Class 1 (A) or Class 2 (B) license for<br />

operation is taken from Los Angeles to a distant location in the thirteen (13) Western states or<br />

Western Canadian provinces, such equipment shall be operated by an employee subject to the<br />

terms of the 2010 Producer - <strong>Local</strong> #<strong>399</strong> Studio Transportation Drivers <strong>Agreement</strong>.<br />

(2) The opportunity to operate empty vehicles which requires a Class 3 (C) license<br />

(restricted to non-towing of any equipment or transportation of crew personnel) such as crew cabs,<br />

five (5) ton trucks without air brakes (no cargo to or from location), maxi-vans (no passengers to<br />

or from location), station wagons or pick-up trucks, whether taken from the studio or rented, shall<br />

first be offered to any person who has Industry Experience Roster status, without regard to Studio<br />

Seniority or Experience Roster Grouping status.<br />

Upon acceptance of such offer, such person shall be employed on a daily basis<br />

under the terms and conditions of this <strong>Agreement</strong> applicable to distant location, except that the<br />

provisions of Paragraph 35 shall not apply, provided however:<br />
