“On Call” Employee Work on a Recognized Holiday<br />

If an “On Call” employee is specifically instructed and<br />

required by Producer to perform work on a recognized holiday on distant<br />

location, under the direction and control of Producer, then Producer<br />

shall, for each such recognized holiday so worked, pay such employee<br />

one-sixth (1/6) of such employee’s “On Call” weekly salary in effect on<br />

such a recognized holiday worked, payable not later than the second<br />

Thursday following his return to the studio.<br />

In addition to the provisions of subparagraphs (a), (b) (first<br />

paragraph only), (c), (d), (f) and (g) of this Paragraph 33, only<br />

Paragraphs 34 and 35 are applicable to “On Call” employees.<br />

34. Distant Locations Defined<br />

Distant locations are locations on which the employee is required<br />

to remain away and be lodged overnight.<br />

35. Traveling Expenses and Accommodations<br />

The employee’s necessary traveling expenses, meals and lodging<br />

shall be made available at the Producer’s expense. For travel anywhere<br />

in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the Producer shall furnish air<br />

transportation to and from distant location. For travel outside the United<br />

States, Canada and Mexico, employees shall be furnished business class<br />

air transportation, except that when business class accommodations are<br />

not available, employees shall travel first class. Producer agrees to use<br />

its best efforts to furnish and maintain, during travel time, reasonably<br />

comfortable riding conditions in the class of transportation provided,<br />

avoiding overcrowding and providing proper space for baggage and<br />

tools.<br />

Producer will direct the employee that he must use the Producer’s<br />

form of transportation to distant location. In those instances in which<br />

Producer purchases public air transportation to and from such location<br />

site, the Producer agrees to purchase tickets refundable only to Producer.<br />

Employees on distant location shall be entitled to single room<br />

housing when it is reasonably available.<br />

36. Travel Time, Work-and-Travel Conditions and Pay Provisions<br />

(a) An employee (other than an “on call” employee) who is<br />

transported by airplane, train, bus or other private or common carrier by<br />

the Producer to distant location on any day of the week (including<br />
