Driver/Wranglers - This rate shall be used when a Wrangler drives<br />

the animals that he is wrangling. A Driver/Wrangler must possess<br />

the appropriate endorsements for driving of vehicles.<br />

“On Call” - The Producer may establish an “on call” salary for the<br />

designated wage classification upon mutual consent of employee<br />

and Union. See also “II. STUDIO WORKING CONDITIONS,”<br />

Paragraphs 4 and following; and Paragraph 33, “Distant Location<br />

Pay Provisions.”<br />

Producer may require party furnishing smaller wild animals or<br />

dogs to deliver to the studio. Compensation time of Wild Animal<br />

Trainer or Wild Animal Handler or of Dog Trainer or Dog Handler<br />

to begin and end at the studio; provided, however, if such Trainer<br />

or Handler is not the owner of the smaller wild animals or the dogs,<br />

compensation time shall be paid from and to the compound or<br />

kennel. If such Trainer or Handler is not the owner of the smaller<br />

wild animals or of the dogs but supplies the car used for<br />

transporting them, he shall be paid an allowance of $.30 per mile<br />

for such transportation.<br />

Undomesticated Quadrupeds - shall include undomesticated<br />

quadrupeds of the phylum mammalia.<br />

Mechanics Driving on Location - Notwithstanding the provisions<br />

of Paragraph 62(c) hereunder, when Mechanics are sent to a<br />

location, they may be permitted to drive service equipment for the<br />

purpose of maintenance and repair and to haul tools and parts for<br />

the purpose of such maintenance and repair, but not men or<br />

materials - except they may be permitted to transport another<br />

mechanic or auto service man. Mechanics may also be permitted<br />

to drive “U-Drive” equipment hired at the location site and perform<br />

the duties of a driver with such piece of equipment. When five (5)<br />

or more pieces of equipment are on a location, the Producer may<br />

have an Automotive Mechanic perform the duties of a Driver to,<br />

from and on such location.<br />

Heavy Duty Work - The Automotive Gang Boss rate shall apply<br />

during the period when an Automotive Mechanic is performing<br />

heavy duty work. The term “heavy duty work” shall mean work on<br />

the drive train, including axles, of a diesel-powered or<br />

gasoline-powered vehicle weighing five (5) tons or more.<br />

Interview time shall be paid for in hourly units, commencing with<br />

the second hour.<br />
