ART. III, SEC. 7-9<br />

Convention. No delegate whose election is the subject of<br />

an appeal to the Convention shall vote on any matter<br />

coming before the Convention until the appeal is<br />

resolved. Only those delegates who are present and seated<br />

at the time the report of the Credentials Committee is<br />

submitted may vote upon the acceptance or the rejection<br />

of such report. (The procedures in Section 7 (a) and (b)<br />

for resolving challenges to delegates may be superseded<br />

in the event that the Department of Labor supervises the<br />

elections in 2006 or any elections thereafter.)<br />

(c). The appointed members shall receive as compensation<br />

for their extra services such expenses and remuneration<br />

as the General Executive Board may determine.<br />

<strong>Constitution</strong> and Other Committees<br />

Section 8. The General President is authorized to<br />

appoint from the membership a <strong>Constitution</strong> Committee<br />

which shall prepare proposed amendments to the<br />

International <strong>Constitution</strong> for submission to the<br />

Convention. The General President, at his discretion, is<br />

also authorized to appoint such other committees from<br />

the membership as he may determine will facilitate the<br />

work of the Convention. The appointed members shall<br />

receive as compensation for their extra services such<br />

expenses and remuneration as the General Executive<br />

Board may determine.<br />

Amendments to <strong>Constitution</strong>; Resolutions<br />

Section 9(a). Thirty (30) days prior to each<br />

Convention, <strong>Local</strong> Unions, <strong>Local</strong> Union officers, members<br />

in good standing, or the general officers shall have<br />

the right to send to the General President proposed<br />

amendments or additions to the <strong>Constitution</strong>, or resolu-<br />
