ART. XXVI, SEC. 6-8C. 1<br />
Auditor to perform the audit of any affiliate in Canada,<br />
pursuant to Article X, Section 10 of the <strong>Constitution</strong>.<br />
Assets of Canadian Affiliates<br />
Section 7. In the event the charter of a Canadian<br />
<strong>Local</strong> Union or Joint Council is revoked or suspended,<br />
the labour organization or its officers shall turn over all<br />
books, documents, property, and funds to <strong>Teamsters</strong><br />
Canada. <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada shall be responsible for<br />
ensuring that any outstanding loans, accounts, initiation<br />
and reinitiation fees, per capita tax, or any other outstanding<br />
financial obligations to the International Union<br />
shall be paid, to the extent the assets are sufficient to<br />
make such payments. The remaining assets shall be<br />
applied to pay any outstanding obligations to <strong>Teamsters</strong><br />
Canada, if any. All remaining assets, and the books,<br />
documents, and property of the affiliate, shall be held by<br />
the President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada for the purpose of<br />
reorganization. If no reorganization occurs within a<br />
period of two (2) years, such funds shall be divided<br />
between <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada and the International Union,<br />
with sixty percent (60%) of the funds transferred to<br />
<strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada and forty percent (40%) transferred to<br />
the International Union.<br />
The procedures set forth above shall also apply to the<br />
assets of any affiliate that dissolves, disaffiliates, or<br />
secedes from the International Union.<br />
Journal<br />
Section 8. <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada shall publish an official<br />
Canadian Journal under the editorial direction of the<br />
President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada, subject to and guided by<br />
the Executive Board of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada. The Journal<br />
shall be a bilingual, English and French publication. A<br />
