ART. XXVI, SEC. 6<br />

the President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada shall be fully<br />

informed of the imposition of a trusteeship and the reasons<br />

such action was necessary.<br />

(d). The Executive Board of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada shall<br />

exercise the authority vested in the General Executive<br />

Board by Article XII of the <strong>Constitution</strong> with respect to<br />

collective bargaining matters involving affiliates and<br />

companies in Canada. The President of <strong>Teamsters</strong><br />

Canada shall exercise the authority vested in the General<br />

President by Article XII of the <strong>Constitution</strong> regarding<br />

such collective bargaining matters. Out-of-work benefits<br />

shall be paid to members in Canada from the<br />

<strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada Strike Fund, in accordance with the<br />

provisions of Article VII of the Bylaws of <strong>Teamsters</strong><br />

Canada. Accordingly, payment of out-of-work benefits<br />

pursuant to Article XII of the <strong>Constitution</strong> shall not be<br />

made to Canadian members, absent mutual agreement of<br />

the General Executive Board and the <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada<br />

Executive Board.<br />

(e). <strong>Local</strong> Unions and/or Joint Councils in Canada<br />

shall forward copies of all collective bargaining agreements<br />

to the President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada, in addition<br />

to filing copies with the Economics and Contracts<br />

Department of the International Union.<br />

(f). The President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada shall have<br />

authority to appoint an auditor, after consultation with the<br />

General Secretary-Treasurer. The auditor shall follow the<br />

auditing procedures specified by the General Secretary-<br />

Treasurer. Copies of the audit reports shall be sent to the<br />

General Secretary-Treasurer and shall satisfy the requirements<br />

of Article VII, Section 7 of the <strong>Constitution</strong>.<br />

Nothing in this Article shall preclude the General<br />

Secretary-Treasurer from assigning an International<br />
