nating candidates for the office of President of <strong>Teamsters</strong><br />

Canada. Members of the Executive Board of <strong>Teamsters</strong><br />

Canada and delegates from Canadian affiliates shall be<br />

eligible for nomination. Delegates and alternate delegates<br />

elected to the most recent Convention of the<br />

International Union shall have the first priority as delegates<br />

and alternates to any Special Convention called for<br />

the purpose of nominating an individual for the office of<br />

President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada. Additional delegates<br />

shall be selected in accordance with the Bylaws of<br />

<strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada, if necessary. In the event more than<br />

one eligible candidate is nominated, an election shall be<br />

conducted by secret ballot vote of the Canadian membership<br />

in a mail ballot referendum. The election shall<br />

be conducted under the supervision of the Executive<br />

Board of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada, which shall have the<br />

authority to make all arrangements to conduct the election.<br />

In the interim, the affairs of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada<br />

shall be administered in the manner set forth in Article<br />

V, Section 6 of the Bylaws of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada.<br />

(e). The International Vice President/ President of<br />

<strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada shall receive full compensation as<br />

currently provided by the International Union. The<br />

Regional International Vice Presidents shall receive<br />

compensation for those offices as provided in Article V,<br />

Section 1 of the <strong>Constitution</strong>. The International Vice<br />

President/President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada may receive<br />

additional compensation as provided in the Bylaws of<br />

<strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada.<br />

Supervision of Canadian <strong>Local</strong> Unions<br />

and Joint Councils<br />

Section 6(a). The General President shall consult<br />

with the President of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada on a regular<br />
