ART. XXVI, SEC. 3-4<br />

Such Bylaws may only be amended in accordance with<br />

the procedures set forth in the Bylaws. Amendments to<br />

the Bylaws of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada shall be submitted to<br />

the General President for approval, in accordance with<br />

Article VI, Section 4 of this <strong>Constitution</strong>. Properly<br />

adopted amendments shall be approved except where the<br />

General President determines that such amendments are<br />

in conflict with the International <strong>Constitution</strong> or contrary<br />

to the well-being of the International Union.<br />

Allocation of Per Capita Tax,<br />

Assessments and Fees<br />

Section 4(a). In recognition of the fact that <strong>Teamsters</strong><br />

Canada shall assume the responsibility for the expenses<br />

associated with certain activities performed by the<br />

International Union in the United States, the following<br />

allocation of per capita tax and fees shall apply. The<br />

terms of this Section supercede any contrary provisions<br />

of Article X of this <strong>Constitution</strong>.<br />

(b). Each <strong>Local</strong> Union in Canada shall pay to the<br />

General Secretary-Treasurer the amount specified in<br />

Article X, Section 3(a) of this <strong>Constitution</strong> from every<br />

initiation or reinitiation fee collected. The General<br />

Secretary-Treasurer shall pay to <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada thirty-three<br />

percent (33%) of the amount of each initiation<br />

or reinitiation fee collected.<br />

(c). Each <strong>Local</strong> Union in Canada shall pay to the<br />

General Secretary-Treasurer the per capita tax required<br />

by Article X, Section 3(b) of this <strong>Constitution</strong>, payable<br />

for the current month, not later than the twentieth (20 th )<br />

day of the succeeding month, unless otherwise determined<br />

by the Executive Board of <strong>Teamsters</strong> Canada in<br />

extreme hardship cases, which determination shall be<br />
