Namaste members: 

Oak Creek tragedy reminds us of the uncertainties of life. While many questions 

like why this happened and how to prevent it in future need to be resolved, the 

immediate need is to support the families and friends who lost their lives. Faith is 

an immediate refuge. Prayers were offered at HSNC for the Triangle area Hindu 

Temples (TAHT) and other temples and Gurudwaras. Some families have lost 

their bread earners. HSNC is encouraging all to donate funds to the community 

fund created to help them. Please contact Mr. Harihar Nath ( 919 8030478) who is 

leading this effort. 

 

 

 

 

 

'RAASTE' was a great home grown show. It was conceived and directed by 

Mr.Ravi Devrajan, Mrs. Bindu Singh and Mrs. Sudha Om Dhingra. Promoted 

by HSNC and Sanskar academy and performed by the volunteer artists of 

SHIDOREE group. This sold out show not only provided great entertainment, 

but also generated funds for the construction of new class rooms. 

Main hall needs major electrical rewiring. The present system is not able to 

cope any extra load, as needed in major functions. This work is big enough 

that we need a certified drawing and apply for permit from the town of Morrisville. 

Mr. Hemant Sura, electrical engineer, has provided these at no 

charge. Mr. Harish Tanna, Mr.Ashwin Desai and Mr. Shiva Raghunana are 

putting a lot of time and expertise to this task. We will get bids as soon as the 

towns grants the permit. Plan includes two ceiling mounted projectors. Society 

will like to thank all these volunteers. 

HSNC Learning Centre project Initial Site Plan review is still in progress 

with Town of Morrisville. Construction Team is negotiating issues related to 

Storm Water Retention, Aviation parkway improvements and Water easement. 

Our team of experts along with Mr.Suvas Shah and Mr. Alok Sharma 

have had multiple meetings, including some with Mayor of Town of Morrisville. 

Our Team is confident that all these issues will be resolved soon and we 

will be able to get the final approval and start construction. 

We are looking for volunteers for a 3 member Audit committee. Please contact 

Mr. Gaurang Shah or any board member if you can help. 

Festival season is here. Starting with Ganesh festival, we will have multiple 

big events like Navaratri, Dushahara and Diwali. These all will be followed 

by the end of the year Gala Dinner extravaganza on December 8.

HSNC would like to express its sincere condolences 

to Mrs. Gira Choksi and family on the 

passing away of her mother, Smt.Shantaben 

Parikh. She was an active member of Bhartiya 

Senior citizen group.She is survived by her 

huband, three childen , five grand children and 

three great grand children

Hinduism - A Way of Life 

HSNC is presenting contemporary worship service in English, focusing on Spirituality and 

Hinduism. Presented by Madhu Sharma and the founders Dr. G.D Sharma and Saroj Sharma. 

How does Hinduism impact your “Way of Life” ? 

What do Vedas and Upanishad say about Way of Life ? 

What do other scriptures say about Way of Life ? 

How can you practice Hinduism in your daily life ? 

Some of the topics addressed will be 

What does ego mean? how do you understand it? 

How do you practice kindness and compassion and forgiveness 

How do you deal with Anger, Greed, Jealously 

Raising Teen age children and Caring for you elderly parents etc. 

Please join us in exploring all the above and more on Monday from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM 

at HSNC mini hall. 

Also every Monday from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm there will be Meditation Class focusing on 

learning how to meditate daily. The class will be held in the Sai Baba (meditation) 

room in the Main Cultural Hall. Please bring your yoga mat.

Services provided are subject to the availability of priest. 

All service rates listed here apply to services provided for the priest’s reasonable time including to and fro travel time. For 

additional time, $25/hour/priest shall apply. Travel mileage charges apply at $.50/mile to be paid directly to the priest if 

more than 10 miles from Temple. 

Religious services charges money goes to the temple. You may ask for a receipt for religious services provided. 

Dakshina given to the priest is separate from the above charges. There is no set fee for dakshina but it is suggested that priest 

should be given at least 50% of the above list.
