Amendment of Personal Credit Card Cardholder Agreement - HSBC

NOTICE OF AMENDMENTS RELATING TO
THE PERSONAL CREDIT CARD
CARDHOLDERS AGREEMENT

With effective from 20 May 2013, Credit Card Cardholder Agreements will be amended at three
(03) clauses below:
1) The affected clause relating to the order of credit card payment will be replaced in its
entirety as follows:
Payments and credits to the Account may be applied in the following order: firstly,
finance charges, cash advance fees, card replacement fee, service charges, late charges,
annual member fee, any legal and collection fees; and lastly, the outstanding principal
amount of the Transactions; or in any other order as the Bank considers appropriate
without prior reference to the Cardholder.
The following personal credit card cardholder agreements will be amended to reflect the
above mention changes.

2) The clause below will be added in the agreement:
The Bank issues credit card with its validity of 4 years since the issuance date.
Supplementary card will have the same validity period with primary card. If the Bank
does not receive any card cancellation request within 30 days prior to the card expiry date
indicated on the card, the Bank will automatically renew the card for Vietnamese
cardholders. Provision on automatic renewal of card is not eligible to foreign national
cardholders. In order for the Bank to accept the card renewal, foreign national
cardholders must comply with regulation on residence in Vietnam.
The following personal credit card cardholder agreements will be amended to reflect the
above mention changes.

3) The affected clause relating to credit card statement will be amended as follows:
(a) A statement will normally be sent to the Cardholder monthly on the Statement Date
(“Statement Date”) with details of (i) the total amount outstanding on the Card
Account (“Statement Balance”), (ii) the minimum sum to be paid by the Cardholder
in respect of the Statement Balance as determined by the Bank (“Minimum Payment
Due”), (iii) such part of the Minimum Payment Due that is payable immediately and
(iv) the date by which the remaining payment must be made to the Bank (“Payment
Due Date”). For cardholder who is using Personal Internet Banking service, an
electronic statement will be generated by the Bank instead of paper statement. If no
transactions takes place within the statement cycle date, the Statement Balance will
not be generated for that month and any transaction occurring after the statement
generation date will be shown on the following month’s Statement Balance. Payment
of any part of the Statement Balance affected by cash or other means will be accepted
on and subject to the Bank’s normal terms and conditions.

Note: Credit card statement will be converted from paper statement to electronic
statement once cardholder receives notification from the Bank by email or SMS or other
appropriate channels.
